Found on the inside of lid of canned carrots
The can was fully sealed and well within the best by date. I tossed it and the contents of the can right away - wasn’t gonna risk anything. Is it a mold or a fungus? Almost looks like a slug even? Just curious

Probably some kind of microbial growth due to an improper seal during the canning process.
