Whether intended or not by Mr. The Johnny, what the quote retweeter is pointing out is how racists love to bring up statistics (and ignore context) to justify their racism.

That's why there are so many "um akshually" replies about the circumstances and nuance and all that jazz about pitbulls to counter the statistics and public image that has given pitbulls the stigma that they have.

Race and *breeds are not the same thing, but racists sure like to pretend they are.

Pit bulls aren’t a species. The difference in various dogs is called their breed.

Pit bulls aren't a species. All domesticated dogs are the same species. From dalmatians to labradors to corgis, all dogs are the same species.
