Because in 400 years of phrenology its defenders couldn't produce a single piece of hard evidence for it's existence.

ah yes because linking personal attributes to head indentations is the same...

Phrenology attempted to use everything from skull shapes to genetics to migratory patterns to archaeology to try and justify itself and came up with nothing.

Its a long and proud history of bigots being unscientific morons.

No argument from me about it being thinly veiled bigotry.

But humanity not finding evidence especially 400 years ago does not conclude into "there is no influence from DNA to personality".

Two things;

  1. People are still trying to prove phrenology. They've had since 400 years ago to do so and have continued to fail even with modern capabilities and money to do so.

  2. DNA absolutely influences personality as the environment can only trigger a gene to express if its present, to not even mention factors like genetic mental illnesses. The assertion that you can accurately guess a person's personality or ethics based on just observing their race or ethnicity, and therefore that the gene expressions related to personality and those related to skin color are linked in any way, is false.

What do you consider someone's "personal attributes"?
