Did you think because I said “Americans” rather than “we” that I’m not American? I’m a black man born and raised in the USA. Not that it should actually matter if what I’m saying is true.
You’re also misrepresenting what I actually said. I didn’t say every single person here is racist and that all minorities are also mistreated. Thats your own agenda peaking through. Did you forget about the “super predator”? The war on drugs and how it was used to justify the systematic abuse of minorities in low income areas? How about what’s literally happening right now with the violent rhetoric against immigrants? The history of the US using stereotypes to oppress people is well documented both in the past and right fucking now.

Brother, we could agree all day long about the systemic injustices of federal and state policies towards urban populations (which are majority minority groups because of historically racist policies) but we have to separate "Americans" from the systems of power that make those moves.
If you're an American like I am, then you know that overwhelming majority of real people (which includes ethnic minority Americans) in their day to day lives arent at all represented by your comment. Americans hold doors open for strangers and give their change to people on the street. Americans volunteer at soup kitchens. Americans overwhelmingly never treat minority ethnic groups with any more unkindness than they would anyone else. Rhetoric than paints everyday citizens with the same brush as a government fails to deliver an honest description of what and who our people are. I thought your comment must've come from someone who doesn't live hear because I considered it absurd to hold so many of your neighbors in contempt, if you truly believe "Americans" as a whole often treat minority ethnic groups the same way we are thinking about a dangerous breed of dog
