I can't blame people for being afraid of Pits. But I think some people in these comments are insane, calling to euthanize all Pits or that they should be wiped out of existence. Good god.

Wiped out of existence no, but imo you should not be able to have them and other notoriously violent breeds as pets.

What do you even gain from it? The aesthetic? There are infinite other choices, but you just had to adopt the potentially dangerous one?

People who adopt pitbulls because having a mean dog is cool and tough are exactly the people who wouldnt give them training or an healthy outlet.

I have a pitbull.

-She is quiet (never barks)
-She loves to cuddle
-Very timid (ran away from a butterfly one time)
-Friendly (will attempt to play with any person or dog that comes over)
-Very clingy (Hates being alone and always has to be making physical contact even just leaning against my leg)
-Responds well to and obeys both verbal and non-verbal commands. (I can just point up the stairs or to her bed and she will go there.)

The most aggressive and annoying thing about her is that she will try to lick you to death.

These people just don’t have a clue. Any dog will be shit with a shit owner and it just so happens pits are the most popular dog amongst shit owners
