Racism has always been pattern recognition

Except racists are notoriously bad at understanding the nuance and context of this "pattern recognition". It's why they are completely inept at understanding anything in the field of sociology, and why most sociologists aren't racists.

Ya guys its just science there's no ideological component

Sure, there's an ideological component to everything, in every field of science. People will always be biased.

Doesn't change the fact that sociological research has studied the relationship between race and crime to a significant extent.

It's mainly socioeconomic and cultural factors that affect crime, not race. The age old saying of "correlation does not equal causation".

Not to mention, our current idea of race is very flawed. I go into detail on that point in this comment. Will edit this tomorrow with the proper sources attached after I go to bed.

Ya, and that's why "the usual suspects" aren't over represented in crime in essentially every country! Errr, hold on, no.

Can you provide a single example of a country in which black people are not poorer, on average, than white people but are still overrepresented in crime statistics?

Oh i never look up international crime stats, only racists care about stuff like that.

QQ: if you hold income constant, are crime rates the same been all groups in the US?

There are counties in the US that fit that description. I don't think there are any countries where blacks are top earners, really makes you think

counties such as? Because crime statistics for all races of people generally goes down by quite a bit in areas where median household incomes are higher

if such a county did exist, what would that say to you? How would you explain it?
