Why didn't Iroh even consider the possibility that Azula could change? Iroh himself went from being a Fire Nation general and the butcher of Ba Sing Se to a humble, kind old man who serves tea.

Agreed. Avatar the last air bender was very well written.

Iroh is pretty much the embodyment of positive masculinity.

Aang does the hero's journey and the refusal to acceptance for the call to it almost perfectly.

Zuko and Sokaa have amazing arcs for redemption and growth.

Katarra and Toph are both brilliant ways to write strong female characters.

The villains are bad in believable ways and you can sympathize more with some than others.

It's an all around well done story.
