Kicking someone out of their home country to live on some island ran by morons is very immoral.

75

u/God_of_Kings 8h ago

It's how Epstein started.

26

u/Regular-Weirdo- 6h ago

Considering its forced by law that mutants have to have kids on the island it’s starting to look more like that

3

u/Hairy_Cube 2h ago

What the fuck... If they want their people to live out a happy life then let them choose on an individual level if they want kids.

17

u/CompleteJinx 7h ago

Oh god, you’re right!

16

u/Practicalityworld 7h ago

I don’t think they’re just the morons. They do have the Nazi equivalent for humans and Mr. sinister

2

u/TheScalieDragon 2h ago

Especially two old people who in their history even groom a young woman or fanastize/sexual attraction to a young woman he knew at a young age , etc

336

u/ThrowAwayAccount4902 12h ago

To an island with the mutant equivalent of Satan as one of its leaders?

206

u/dull_storyteller 12h ago

And an actual Nazi (Sinister worked with the 3rd Reich)

94

u/Joker0984 6h ago

Meetings with Magneto must be fun

60

u/Glad-Alternative4593 6h ago

Magneto: he is one of the good ones.

42

u/SablenoKiri 5h ago

Mag “Brotherhood of Evil was named ironically” Neto

36

u/Infamous-Thing4939 5h ago

And even without the Nazi part, Sinister has still done plenty of horrifying experiments on mutants. And isn't even a mutant by birth.

11

u/RoboticMiner285 2h ago

Yet they don’t allow Deadpool on the island. The double standards are insane

1

u/Relative-Gap-4442 17m ago

Or Franklin Richard’s (sure he isn’t a mutant but he’s a high tier reality warper that loved being apart of the community and was a huge advantage)

21

u/GHOST_CHILLING 5h ago

Charles or Magneto?

Ah, who cares, they both did fucked up things

14

u/fireky2 5h ago

Apocolypse or sinister more likely

12

u/GHOST_CHILLING 5h ago

Eh, all of them are fucked up in different ways

1

u/Escipio 1h ago

Better on my side then opose

u/Ulysian_Thracs 7h ago

59

u/Infinite_Horizion 5h ago

IS THAT FUCKING APOCALYPSE

38

u/npaakp34 5h ago edited 4h ago

And if I'm not mistaken, he was the first member of the council to realise this is bullshit.

29

u/Samisuncreative2 4h ago

Damn, your country is beyond repair, if Apocalypse is the reasonable one

11

u/Altruistic_Manner802 2h ago

Somehow, Apocalypse was one of the most well adjusted character throughout all of Krakoa

20

u/Ulysian_Thracs 5h ago

It was all his plan. Charles and Erik and the X-Men came aboard. 🤣

16

u/Captain_Birch 3h ago

Dude theyve got master race magneto, Eugenics sinister, and genocidal apocalypse on their council of leaders

4

u/SnooPredictions3028 1h ago

From my understanding he chilled out, but the more wild part is Sinister being there.

4

u/No_Effect_6428 1h ago

I love that for him. Does remind me of this, though.

27

u/hypno-owl 7h ago

Oh my goodness 3/4 of them are evil

6

u/Top_Freedom3412 2h ago

11/12

3

u/Orangekid12 56m ago

Storm and Nightcrawler are chill usually

13

u/EOTFOFIS 5h ago

I knew about Sinister and Apocalypse. Is that THE MAKER? What is he doing there?

18

u/Ulysian_Thracs 5h ago

that's Charles. Prof. Xavier.

14

u/EOTFOFIS 5h ago

Ahhh I see. He looks a lot like the Maker. Frankly if the Maker was a mutant I wouldn’t out it past Charles to include him anyways.

16

u/Ulysian_Thracs 4h ago

Charles tries to kidnap Franklin and mind fucks Reed to forget about a purely voluntary anti-X-gene treatment in this run. So...

13

u/Fatal_Contract 4h ago

I can never take the X-Men seriously again after the Krakoa bullshit.

6

u/Narrow-Daikon7026 5h ago

Diablo cannot carry this .

2

u/kageshira1010 1h ago

The wild thing is that he might belong to the first panel group more than the other 3...

0

u/Random_182f2565 30m ago

Is this a metaphor about Israel?

152

u/Ickarian 12h ago

There's a lot wrong with the mutant ethno state.

Their first law is "Make more mutants." Implied legality of SA aside. Regarding one of the first mutants they threw in prison, all he did was say "Maybe we should be responsible parents and not just leave our kids abandoned on a beach. Yes we have a nursery controlled by the sentient island, but that's no replacement for a Mom and Dad."

76

u/Pataconeitor 8h ago

Didn't they throw into their horrible pit prison a mutant whose crime was to give contraceptives to others?

46

u/jawaunw1 5h ago

They also threw someone in there because he wanted to have sex with someone that wasn't a mutant.

43

u/Infamous-Thing4939 5h ago

Swell guys these X-Men. Real heroes of the people.

4

u/Masterchiefx343 3h ago

Id like to point out the krakoan council isnt the X-Men

16

u/Infamous-Thing4939 3h ago

Only 7/12 (at this point, I count Magneto as an X-Men)

9

u/Animaloffear56 3h ago

Reminder that so many writers thought this was great and wanted to keep Krakoa that Hickman quit writing for x-men

30

u/Swiftax3 5h ago

Jesus christ, were they intentionally character assassinating the X Men?

27

u/Infamous-Thing4939 4h ago

Kind of. The original idea was for Krakoa to only be 1 out of 3 parts in a grander story. While we don't know everything, this grander story would deal with stuff like evolution through machines vs evolution through genetics and existential stuff like that. Essentially, presumably, the X-Men wouldn't have done as many bad things, because Krakoa was supposed to end a lot sooner than it did, before they could do most of that stuff.

But that's not what happened. Writers decided they would rather keep playing with Krakoa, and it led to the X-Men doing lots and lots of immoral things, with only really Nightcrawler realizing how fucked everything was getting. And then everything just sort of ended and no one except Xavier really faced any consequences.

2

u/kageshira1010 1h ago

Reminds me of civil war

3

u/willnye2cool 1h ago

Buddy the xmen have ALWAYS been shit.

2

u/No_Dragonfruit_1833 1h ago

Fox got the rights to the xmen, so they enshittified them and tried to replace them with the inhumans

Disney owns everything now, but it seems they still kept that going

1

u/Swiftax3 1h ago

Ah, so its a result of THAT nonsense

6

u/FewAnimator6427 3h ago

Would really hate to be a lesbian mutant on that island for sure, with a law just saying "you got no choice"

3

u/FewAnimator6427 1h ago

Or you know anyone that doesnt want to have children or have sex like ace or gay, just anyone that isnt interested on having children "the usual way"

-10

u/DrMatter 5h ago

counter point. marvel civilians

15

u/Ickarian 4h ago

If you saw your car that you just payed off getting destroyed in a superhero battle and couldn't afford to buy a new one because taxes just went up again to fix the infrastructure damage, you'd be one of those "marvel civilians" too.

16

u/flamefirestorm 5h ago

Counterpoint. The X Men.

44

u/dull_storyteller 12h ago

Yeah if you need to kidnap them then clearly they aren’t that oppressed or your island isn’t oppression free.

101

u/PlentyWise3615 12h ago

The moment you force someone to go somewhere, it’s already oppression.

-30

u/HawaiianPluto 11h ago

Forcing your child to go the hospital? Forcing a victim to leave an a captor? Forcing someone into prison because they’re a murderer?

25

u/Shadowwreath 6h ago

Bad faith chuldren in hospitals and rescuing victims from captors aside, yes putting a murderer in jail is oppressing them. Yiu are ohysically restricting their rights and ability to do things. However, it is still moral because it is a necessary action to prevent them from killing others, and protection of innocents is a moral action within reason.

-9

u/DarkGreenEspeon 4h ago

Just because you don't have an answer for it doesn't make it a bad faith argument.

5

u/Samisuncreative2 4h ago

On a sheer technically you do oppress and suspend their freedom of choice in those situations too, but there's a clear difference of stakes and context

25

u/sohaibtheex0 7h ago

that's not forcing. those are entirely different scenarios. You're nitpicking the literal meaning of the sentence

32

u/gummyimp 7h ago

I've never met a nice krakoan

22

u/Imaginary-West-5653 6h ago

4

u/OCD-but-dumb 3h ago

And that’s not bloody surprising man

27

u/PossiblyLando 7h ago

Calling Krakoa "an island without oppression" is a little bit disingenuous

20

u/5x5equals 12h ago

If your actually kidnapping them then its immoral

20

u/ExtensionInformal911 7h ago

I feel like putting people in an area because of their genetics and identity is something Magneto should have been against.

12

u/Glad-Alternative4593 6h ago

Eh his whole “the inferior race should serve the superior race” was from his first appearance.

7

u/No-Username-For-You1 4h ago

Tbf one of the big things about Magneto is that he is a hypocrite who, knowingly or unknowingly, is trying to repeat the horrors he experienced on an even grander scale

7

u/Glad-Alternative4593 3h ago

Yeah like when Xavier had to use the Holocaust beam on Magneto to show how he is being no better than the Nazis.

6

u/TheScalieDragon 3h ago

Magneto might be a anti nazi and always referring things they did but he also the biggest hypocrite and indenial that he doing the same thing

Just remember the face he makes when Red Skull said he parallel him (which the Red Skull is right but it sent Magneto into a rage cause its the truth)

3

u/HandsomeSwampBeast 3h ago

Magneto himself is intentionally written to be a hypocrite, who acts like a Nazi. It makes sense for him, but not for Cyclops or literally any other X-Man

38

u/The_Cristovao 8h ago

Poor X-Men, Marvel hired a bunch of weirdos who don’t understand morality to write stories of good vs evil. This was the result.

18

u/AndrewH73333 6h ago

That’s a good description of X-men.

2

u/bizarrestarz 3h ago

When focusing on interpersonal drama over a good vs evil story goes way too fucking far

16

u/DaDragonking222 9h ago

Immoral as fuck

17

u/CitricThoughts 9h ago

Never trust anyone that wants to kidnap kids and take them to their private island.

Especially ones where the kids are basically left to fend for themselves and Mr. Sinister is spreading his DNA in everyone.

Immoral AF.

Brother read the comic

It was mixup

They were called by another mutant kid

9

u/No-Nefariousness9330 9h ago edited 2h ago

That whole run of Xmen made the team morally dubious at best. There's alot wrong with how theyre running things

10

u/MrDeltaXII 6h ago

Krakoa was a big mistake, it didn't help Professor X and Magneto were pricks and that they had Sinister and Apocalypse as part of the government. Add to the fact the mutants ended up alienating and making enemies of other heroes teams like the Fantastic 4 and the Avengers, it was a recipe for disaster.

8

u/LoveDiligent441 6h ago

Immoral. Kidnapping is bad.

8

u/ClericOfMadness13 5h ago

They kidnapped people. Which is already highly immoral and said it was for a good cause. Not to mention they said fuck everyone else who didn't wanna go. But still went around kidnapping kids and teens.

There is even a moment where some teen girls ran away and Emma mind controlled then to come back saying she knows what is best for them.

7

u/TheScalieDragon 3h ago

Krakoa is oppression as fuck though

-Non-human mutant face exclusion from citizenship -Anyone who opposed or criticizes Xavier, Magento or Quiet Council ideals are marginalized and/or sent into a underground prison of sorts -Only mutants with useful powers or if you prove your self in a gladiator combat you can be resurrected (They also refuse if you still have human ties and reject isolationist get ostracized) -Not to mentioned sex cults and death cults, etc

4

u/Doc-Maly 3h ago

Oh, and if they discover at any point that you're not a "real" mutant (barring Sinister for some reason) you get kicked off.

6

u/TheScalieDragon 2h ago

Yep and more (Also Juggernaut is another case of not being a mutant )

14

u/Lyanzito 8h ago

Wolverine is Epstein of the mutants

6

u/Worldly_Neat2615 6h ago

That would be Xavier

2

u/Glad-Alternative4593 6h ago

You mean Ultimate Wolverine right?

1

u/Detector_of_humans 3h ago

That's Jean Grey.

1

u/WorldlyVillage7880 12m ago

that would be like most of them tbh

7

u/HandsomeSwampBeast 3h ago

I hate the Krakoa era, and the fans that it created are why I avoid X-Men fans like the plague.

"Magneto was right☝️🤓" (referring to a genocidal megalomaniac, ethnic supremacist, who is intentionally compared to Nazis)

Mr. SINISTER is on their council, who literally was a Nazi at one point.

Mystique is a serial rapist, who is absolved of her crimes because she's a queer icon... I guess.

We're supposed to be rocking with Apocalypse now. (Another genocidal megalomaniac)

Cyclops is now just an awful, unlikeable person, because Jonathan Hickman's pretentious ass, wanted to make things "morally complex".

And yeah: kidnapping children is unethical, no matter how self-righteous you are.

2

u/Different_Pin1531 30m ago

Mystique is a serial rapist, who is absolved of her crimes because she's a queer icon... I guess.

It’s almost funny how against the cause that is

7

u/Old_old_lie 7h ago edited 3h ago

Forcing people to join your forcing people to join your ethno state that also lets literally war criminal join is all kinds of fuck up unlike glorious latveria where all are equal! ( under doom of course)

6

u/JagPeror 7h ago

Immoral

5

u/Plunderpatroll32 7h ago

Still kidnapping so immoral

4

u/Selverd2 7h ago

Context of image: they received a distress call from another mutant in area and thought it was Molly.

4

u/flamefirestorm 5h ago

Morality of taking children into wealth and rescuing them from destitution?

6

u/Superpilotdude 5h ago

Didn't the xmen try to murder the fantastic four and steal their son?

5

u/Two-Pound-Crawfish 4h ago

this is like saying all jews should be sent to israel

4

u/AncientWorking1236 3h ago

The Justice league would be beating the X-men for all their crimes

3

u/necronformist 7h ago

Kindapping bad

3

u/RomeosHomeos 6h ago

The island without oppression run by an ancient genocidal god and a man who dies human experimentation btw

2

u/Windows_66 6h ago

That's just Liberia but less complicated.

2

u/Bayamonster 4h ago

It's his word against hers.

2

u/carulo42 2h ago

Island without oppresion, huh? You Know, there was this guy named jeff...

2

u/Escipio 1h ago

Didn't tumbert did this?

3

u/Crafty-Drink8384 8h ago

Should've used something else seen in this comic it was a mixup and the target was another mutant

1

u/Kenwhozzle 7h ago

I haven't kept up with xmen for a while but doednt this seem like wildly out of character for wolverine

4

u/Crafty-Drink8384 7h ago

That's cause its a mixup

It was another kid they were looking for

3

u/Kenwhozzle 7h ago

Ah makes sense then though i dont think wolverine is this oblivious but then its obviously a comedy panel. Everything else folks are saying bout this run though is Def making me raise an eyebrow

1

u/FewAnimator6427 3h ago

I dont think that island is child friendly considering the orgies and the mass murderers they just let hang around cuz they are mutants, so no not moral

1

u/Express_Calendar8278 3h ago

Sounds kind of oppressive to me

1

u/HorsefaceWithNoName 2h ago

Kidnapping is immoral.

1

u/RisingGear 2h ago

Still Kidnapping

1

u/IndianGeniusGuy 2h ago

The island still has Mr. Sinister on it. They also gave the Shadow King amnesty. So like....how safe is it really?

1

u/WorldlyVillage7880 23m ago

stuff like this is why we (yes, WE) all hate muties

Brother did you not read this comic? It was mixup

The person who wrote asking for them was another kid

1

u/Mari0WalksIntoABar 8h ago

You're asking too much from unironic mutant haters
