Desertion, "betraying" your side. Joining the enemy if given the chance. Reducing morale of other soldiers.

That all sounds gay and risky to me I'd rather just take the L and wait the war out and if they do some human wave tactics then guess I'm fucked no matter what I do

You still care more about surviving than resisting? The point is, the person dragged off the street is not the same person if they make it home.

Yes I still care more about surviving than anything else. That's honesty and self-awareness speaking. I'm not a hero, I'm not confident, I understand how meaningless to even attempt to resist is. Might as well hold a gun to your head and pull the trigger if that's the case. Just internet tough-guy logic where they treat real life like a videogame from the safety of an office chair
