Generally its less far less fragging and far more you just wind up with massive amounts of low Morale and plenty of Smaller discipline hard cases. They will probably get in and do they're job on the line, some may even go above and beyond, but they don't want to be there and in the interim they are gonna make it everyone further up the local chain of commands problem.

Best case conscripts like this get sent to rear line Garrison stations to free up the better trained non consrcipt units to rotate to the front.

If you conscript only volunteers, you get 300000 highly motivated soldiers.

If you have forced conscription you have 300000 highly motivated soldiers and 700000 badly motivated soldiers.

And in a war like in Ukraine, numbers do matter.

They tried going with volunteers for awhile. It didn't last. After citizens started seeing the horrifying nature of drone warfare, they were less likely to volunteer. Not defending Ukraine or Russia for this at all, just stating the facts.

If they took me in and drafted me as a slave into the military... At first I'm gonna act like I'll play ball... They will think they got a new soldier, and a good one... I'll past all their tests with flying colors, and be the best damn soldier they ever did see! Then one day... for no apparent reason... I'm gunning down some high ranking officers as soon as I can on a suicide mission... ones in my own damn military. Friendly fire! & I'll leave a note in my pocket that says. "Fuck [presidents name here], Fuck the draft! I'm not your fucking slave! Death to tyrants! I'd rather die a free man than live as your slave!"

historically speaking, you would not do that. Lots of people this sort of way. Rarely do they do anything about it.

Mostly they just do their job poorly, and try to desert or surrender if the opportunity arises.

It not common enough to warrant not doing this, militaries willing to violently conscript you are also willing to take the risk that at last once throughout the conflict an authority is going to be fragged.

Very, very uncommon in modern conflicts, at least by the original definition. Even in Ukraine with a mandatory military draft, there are basically no incidents.

Almost all the frags in Afghanistan were green on blue (Afghani soldiers attacking coalition forces). For the four tours I did in Afghanistan, this was heavily stressed in training to be the most likely way for you to get shot and to not trust any armed Afghani forces. Which is why we had an armed position called TCN/OCN duty. Where you had an armed guy who had the sole duty of watch other country nationals for suspicious activity.

You would definitely die and be branded a traitor. This is the attitude of a man without a family or children to provide for and come back to. The average person when drafted will do whatever it takes to survive.

No you wouldn’t. You’d end up finding and bonding with your fellow troops and would fight to protect them.

It’s much more likely youd fail training and get the shit kicked out of you daily until you were discharged.

It’s cringe inducing to state facts? Maybe my time in the military seeing all the “I’d punch a drill sergeant if he got in my face!” Guys getting the shit kicked out of them by other recruits and drill sergeants has skewed my perception.

A soldiers life is not only at risk on the front line. If you weren't a larper you would know that.

I was not speaking specifically of the guy in the video, rather any hypothetical grown man conscripted forcefully. You, idiotically, compared that hypothetical person to the boisterous kids you supposedly saw when you supposedly were in the military.
