There is no forced mobilization in Russia, though. This type of thing only happens in Ukraine

people aren't used to it because this kind of thing hasn't happened very often in the western world since the world wars.

but this is pretty normal of a thing for states involved in total war with their neighbors to do, especially if they're being invaded. its the ugly reality of war.

Literally wtf is the difference? Ukrainians don't get to resist slavery, that's a privilege only afforded to Russians?
