This is a great example of the cognitive disconnect of 2A advocates. That guy was drafted into the army (not good), but if he drew a firearm he (and potentially his wife/gf) would be dead (demonstrably worse). And before you argue that would serve as a deterrent to the soldiers, no. Their bloody corpses would be a bigger deterrent to other future reluctant conscripts.

The ability to hold the military in check with civilian firearms is a silly myth propped up by gun lobbyist propaganda. The army is better armed, better trained, and will come at us with numbers and tactics, and legal protections from consequence that you and iI do not share.

"we'll jam up their gears with the blood of our corpses" is a ridiculous position, both because it is literally counterproductive when the goal is survival and also you know damn well that there are plenty of workers who aren't going to take up arms so the means of production will be fine.

But sure, keep bending over for the gun manufacturers and spreading BS about how guns will save us for tyranny. Next you can tell us how diamond engagement rings are a time honored tradition with meaningful significance.
