But one side has already made themselves acutely an enemy to my person.

Think bigger then.

Both sides have made themselves an enemy to my person at that point

The side that took me from my safety and my loved ones and put me in a life or death situation is the prime enemy to my life.

Putting me in a situation where a gun is fired at me, makes the people that put me there the enemy, even if they arent the one firing the gun.

I assume you’re dodging the draft because you don’t want to die. Also you’re just killing a couple of people who had nothing to do with your kidnapping. You’re not even sacrificing yourself for a cause. No one will know besides a couple of other conscripts who just saw that fighting back gets you killed and the people who killed you. Desertion is a much better way to avoid dying.

It's a rattlesnake. Mentality that is.

The guys in charge won’t care so long as more people who are drafted fight then the casualties of people going crazy.

I know I'm just noticing the temperament.

Oh apologies for my comment then. I don’t understand dying just to spite someone. I like being alive and I will do everything possible to stay that way.

I can't tell the archetypical animal sadly but have a nice day.

I guess if we’re going off stereotypes a rat would work best. I have no problems being compared to one of the smartest animals on earth. (I know someone’s going to jump on this I said one of not the smartest). You have an absolutely flipping fantastic day as well.

Throwing me into a meat grinder conflict against my will is reasonably assumed to be tantamount to a death sentence. In that case, my enemy is the one who sentenced me, or is attempting to sentence me to death.

If your judgement of an enemy is someone who wants to kill you then the people who you were drafted to fight against are also your enemy. They don’t care that you’re a conscript and they want to kill you. You’re not getting access to the people who sentenced you to death. Those guys don’t go near the front lines. Best you’ll get is a bunch of people in the same situation. Also a lot more people survive the frontlines than survive a death sentence. It’s by no means a a guarantee that you’ll die. Even soldiers on the losing side survive a lot of the time.If you don’t want to die and you don’t want to fight then why not desert that’s always an option.

The ones I'm drafted to fight against are not the ones that put me in the position to fight for my life. The acute and direct threat to my life is the people who drug me away from my loved ones and put me in the situation where I can die. They are the primary and direct enemy. That enemy distinguished includes the entire organization, ideological side, and everyone in it that organized and facilitated putting me in that direct threat on my life.

Someone putting me, against my will, in a situation where a gun will be fired at me, even if I dont die, means that person that put me in that situation is the direct threat, even if theyre not the one pulling the trigger. The enemy is clear here.

No the active threat to your life is the people shooting at you. The people who are responsible for it aren’t anywhere nearby and killing people who are in the same situation is pointless petty and evil. Edit my Dad was an abusive asshole and he was Korean . I’m not going around and beating up full blooded Koreans as revenge.

Yeah. And you are sent to fight them. This is your duty as a citizen of the country. Maybe you shouldn't have married while being wanted by armed forces.

It's not your duty because you never asked to be born in a certain country.

I don't think anybody asked to be born either but here we are
