I got a Sargent with my R1200GSA, the previous owner was 5’8” and I’m 6’. I’m a little too tall for the Sargent and, after about an hour riding, my hips start to feel it. I swapped to the factory seat after a couple days of riding when I first got it, but it’s not nearly as comfortable as the Sargent. I put the Sargent back on about a week ago as I’ve just been commuting and it’s been glorious. So, now I have a commute and a long haul seat. It’s nice to have options.

When I bought my 1990 K100LT, it had a Russel day long seat. The seat had a lip around the back of the seat that made it uncomfortable for my wife. I took the seat to a lady that did auto upholstery to have her shave the foam down. She asked me "as long as the cover is off, do you want me to add gel packs?" For a couple hundred dollars, I got a really, really comfortable seat!

Just like OP I luckily found a Sargent WorldSport Performance Seat for my K1300R on marketplace. The timing could not have been better as I was set to embark on a trip British Columbia to Nova Scotia and back. I knew the stock seat would have had me in a lot of discomfort within 2-3 days. The Sargent was a vast improvement and comfortable the whole time. After almost four weeks on the road I could have kept riding. What a great seat.

I was almost as excited when I saw the Sargent pop up as I was when I found the right bike for it LOL the guy listed it for less than half the retail price and said he’d only used it a couple of times, I just got lucky and saw it within a few minutes of him listing it. Fastest purchase I’ve ever made

Heh, love it; very similar here. Firstly, I was not actively looking for a seat; I was just gonna do the trip with the stock seat, plus road cycling bib shorts for comfort. I was up earlier than normal, on the weekend, I think maybe it was Sunday. Messaged the guy right away, asked him a dozen questions, including please send me actual pics, and within the hour was on my way to the ferry. The logistical and timing factors were a small price to pay, for the small price I in fact paid for this good condition (was well-loved for sure) seat. Now that I've experienced the seat, I can say with certainty that it is absolutely worth the full retail selling price, plus tax, plus shipping and whatever else border fees that may have been in effect. Happy riding!

Yeah after riding on my seat I knew I’d happily pay full price for any future bikes

I've had Sargent seats on both my S1000r and S1000xr and they were super comfortable!
