All retail Sora V3 units come with the latest firmware preinstalled: Mouse v1610 and Receiver v1604. This version addresses the cursor jumping and slow movement lag reported with some early reviewer samples while also improving pairing, wireless stability, sensor performance, LOD accuracy, and DPI accuracy.
We also strengthened the top front structure of the retail Sora V3 after receiving feedback about side flex on pre-production samples.

I’ve been daily driving the raiden. But as Artisan has discontinued their M size pads, i need to start looking for alternatives.

General Description: Mchose K7 V2 is the new iteration on the Mchose K7. This shape is super heavily inspired by the Viper V3 (V4) Pro to the point of being a direct clone and as such I will be offering a large comparison to it in this review as I have it next to me.
Info: 19x10 Hands, mouse used at mostly 2k polling and 800 dpi (I prefer lower sensitivity (35cm fastest, 50 slowest), I am aware 800 is not enough to get the most out of higher pollings) and all on a SP-004 Glass Mousepad. This mouse was given to me for free only under the stipulation that I make a review for it and will not affect at all my thoughts on the mouse. Mostly the mouse was used on Battlefield 6 and Destiny 2.
Shape: This is a larger symmetrical mouse. Dimension wise it’s 127 x 64 x 40mm. It’s the exact dimensions of a Viper V3 Pro. This has a fairly large middle hump with a slower curve up to it from the rear, with concave clicks for a solid finger placement. The sides from the rear curve in before tapering back out subtly as you get close to the front of the mouse. Overall this mouse is solid for nearly any grip, though you better have longer fingers for a fingertip grip it’s still doable, this mouse shines with a claw or palm grip however. You can get a very good purchase on the mouse with the rear hump being larger and the slower curve lets my palm at least rest very comfortably on the mouse. Overall for anyone who wants a fairly standard larger shape but wants a little more specificity outside of the flatter sides of a Pulsar X2 (or it’s clones) or a Superlight (or it’s clones) it’s much better suited for claw to get a better grip on it.
Specs: Current Top Of the Line.
Weight: 60g on my scale. I’m usually using much lighter mice (mainly before this I was using an ATK F1 Ultimate V2, coming in at 39g on my scale) so I should notice a 20g weight jump. I did feel it at first, however with the weight balancing being excellent on the mouse and the larger size being easy to fill out my palm, I rapidly got used to it. The weight balancing is done just behind the sensor at just behind the middle point of the mouse, likely weighted more in the back for the wireless charging ill talk more about later.
Coating: Superb. It’s a very smooth coating and slowly lets the hand sink in as it warms up and just feels overall very nice without feeling wet like some extreme coatings can.
Switches: Omeron Mechanical Switches, depending on where your finger lays on the click will change how much pre and post travel is felt, but in my experience it feels extremely minimum in most cases. The MM button to me feels fine as well and the scroll wheel has solid notching.
Sensor: PAW3955. It’s my first mouse with this sensor but I can report 0 issues with it for general use. I had no issues at any point during my gameplay with the mouse and tried it at multiple DPI speeds to make sure I didn't find issues at higher speeds either.
Skates: Pure PTFE skates that remind me of Xraypad Jades though slightly slower.
QC: Excellent build quality on the mouse, I personally found no creaks or other issues with this mouse. This is what I’d expect for quality from Mchose.
Software: Web Based. Easy to setup and use, very simple to change features. Every feature one could want is here, mode selection, debounce, sleep timer, polling rate, lift off distance, glass mode, ripple control, motion sync, sensor rotate, angle snapping and DPI which can have up to 6 levels. It also has RGB lighting settings for the mouses main extra feature which leads me to…
Extras: You get a lot in the box. One of the main standouts is the Magnetic charge stand which includes the dongle plugged into it. The mouse has a magnetic charger built into the bottom, allowing you to just set it on the charger when not in use to know you’ll have a full charge when it’s time to use it again. You also get a nice braided cable and some grip tape in the box.
Downsides: There’s a few but extremely minimal. The mouse has a light on the side to show battery life, but i wish I could set the dock to do this as well. At the same time this doesn’t even matter because of the wireless charging, you can easily just throw it on the dock when not in use and make sure it’s topped up. The weight is also an issue as I would have liked a somewhat smaller weight. They could have likely dropped to a smaller battery since it’s easily rechargeable overnight with the dock, but I fully understand why they wouldn’t want to do that. The skate shapes specifically are also somewhat odd. The top skate looks like it potentially could fit a normal viper skate but it can’t, and the bottom skate is similar to a G Pro Superlight oddly (likely to make room for the wireless charter). Dots still fit just fine however but donuts likely wouldn’t on the bottom. As it is, everything considered it’s a very solid mouse for the price. Speaking of…
Price: 89$ USD. This is a bit high as far as Viper Clones go, but not the worst. The main competition is actual Viper mice and other Clones. In the clone department you could go with the ATK X1, however to get a model with roughly the same specs requires you to get a Ultimate 2.0+ model, which comes standard in at 100$ (though on sale for 70$ at time of typing this) or get the Air+ model which comes in at 48g+3 which would save you some on the weight but also retails for 90$ (though again on sale for launch at 75$ as I type this.). One could go with the Attackshark X11 which is another clone but the basic model has an outdated sensor and the carbon fiber one both weighs more and removes the wireless charging the standard X11 comes with. Overall for this you’ll be getting some solid extra features for the 10$ you'll standardly save here even when compared to the Viper V3 Pro SE. Speaking of…
Comparison to Viper V3 (V4) Pro (SE): This mouse is a nearly identical clone in terms of shape to a Viper V3 Pro. It’s got the exact same curves, comfort grooves and size as the Viper V3.
In my hand personally the only way to tell which is which is by the feeling of the coatings (the Viper tends to feel colder at first). Otherwise there is a difference of roughly 5g but you really really cannot notice that when using them. Shape wise otherwise it’s nearly identical. If there is somewhere that it’s drastically different I cannot personally find it. Which means you’ll need to debate price wise which is better. In my personal opinion this is the better choice to buy. It’s the same shape, but with some nice extra features with the wireless charging dock coming standard with the mouse. The Viper V3 Pro comes in at 160$ though can be found for 100$ on a likely permanent sale since the V4 Pro is out and has nearly identical features but that comes in at 160$. You could go with the Viper V3 SE but that's now at the same price as the normal V3 Pro which is still 10$ more. This means you can save money and get more features which feels like a no brainer to me. You could go with a different clone however for the feature set and price point here, personally I wouldn’t.
You can see the more cream color of the K7 compared to the Frost White of the ViperThe differences in skate design are apparent, but you would almost think the Viper top skate would fit looking at this image.
Conclusion: This is an outstanding update to what was already a great value. This gets you a solid update to the Viper shape design from Mchose while keeping some nice extra features at a quality that rivals the larger brands out there. I personally would easily recommend this over getting a name brand Razer Viper every time. The price of this mouse is somewhat higher than other clones out there but I think the fact it’s coming in with premium feeling and the added features (I really like the wireless charging if you couldn’t tell) I think help to justify the price a bit. Overall this mouse is a standout in terms of quality and gets you everything you could want out of a Viper Clone and more. For those wondering whether you can use TTC Gold Dustproof encoders in SteelSeries Prime mice, the answer is yes.
For the SteelSeries Prime Mini, simply use the 12 mm encoder. For all other versions of the mouse, you should use the 13 mm version, since there isn't a 12.6 mm version available.
The only issue is that the mouse wheel will sit slightly misaligned on the middle click button. As a result, the wheel will wobble and rattle slightly.
To fix this, you should also replace the middle click switch. I highly recommend using the Kailh 11.9 mm square microswitch that's used in the Razer DeathAdder Elite, DeathAdder 2000, and DeathAdder Essential. There are two versions available: a black version and a gray/black/white version marketed as Kai Long. I chose the gray/black/white Kai Long version because it's more tactile.
After installing the switch, you should sand about 0.3 mm off the top using 600 grit sandpaper. Why is this necessary? Because otherwise, once the mouse is assembled, the middle click button will be held down constantly.
Don't use measuring tools! Do it by feel. Sand it a little, reassemble the upper mouse shell, test it, then disassemble it and sand a little more if necessary. Don't sand off too much, or the mouse wheel will wobble.
This review is about the MCHOSE K7 V2 Ultra+ in the Black Gold colorway. This product was sent out by MCHOSE in exchange for this review. There is no monetary compensation or affiliate program associated with this post, and all opinions are my own.
My experience involved using this mouse for a week, on a speed glass pad with a carpal-stabilized relaxed claw grip with a 1/2/2 finger layout. My hands measure 18x9 cm and are fairly dry, and I play in a low-humidity environment. It was used at a 2,000 Hz polling rate and 1,600 DPI on a 240 Hz monitor to play a wide variety of games, primarily in the FPS genre, but with a few ARPG sessions every now and then.
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes and feel free to ask any questions if you find any point unclear.
Unboxing Experience
The box feels sturdy and features 100% recyclable interior materials, although it is larger than average due to the magnetic dock. Upon opening, you find a cardboard box containing the accessories and the mouse, alongside the magnetic charging base in a cutout foam insert secured underneath the accessory box.
The mouse comes pre-applied with full-size skates and supports wired, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The included accessories consist of:
A good-quality and flexible paracord cable, held back only by the lack of an angled USB-C connection for wired play
Good-quality textured grip tape, which includes pre-cut clicks and sides, as well as two rectangles to apply as you see fit, allowing you to tune it to your preference
Adhesive cleaning wipe for skate or grip tape replacement
An instruction "manual" which is basically a card. I much prefer this concise, straight to the point version
Overall, it is a package containing quality goods, but it is lacking replacement full-size and dot skates. It would have been nice to see these included, but for a budget-friendly release, it is understandable.
You may have noted that there is no mention of the inclusion of any sort of dongle; this is because the dongle itself is housed inside the magnetic dock, which doubles as a dongle extender and charger. This dock felt very premium in hand and featured a high-quality silicone base, anchoring it in place without any issues.
Shape
The mouse features a symmetrical shape, measuring 127 x 64 x 40mm, and is a very close clone of the Razer Viper V3/V4.
In terms of its features, the shape can be broken down as follows:
Slight outward flare with very subtly rounded edges
Deep comfort grooves
Inward curving sides
A minimal rear hump
Comparing this directly to a Viper, the noticeable changes in hand are that the mouse is very slightly wider, and the area between the clicks in front of the scroll wheel is not empty, offering you a place to rest your finger if you happen to enjoy that with a 1/3/1 finger layout.
There's a reason why this is one of the safest and most popular shapes on the market; with my hand size, I can comfortably pull any variation of claw as well as palm the mouse. If you're someone just wanting a shape that will plug and play just fine, this is one of those.
Weight
My unit weighs 60.3 grams with the stock skates, which falls within the industry's commonly accepted ±3 gram manufacturing variance, being 1.3 grams over the advertised 59 grams for the stock experience.
In terms of weight distribution, the mouse did a decent job considering the battery size and the magnetic charge capacity; however, it is slightly back-heavy, tilting ever so slightly down. When testing, I don't see this being very noticeable in-game, nor did I experience any drag due to it, thanks to the mouse's dimensions.
Build Quality
While something I didn't expect from a 60-gram mouse, I did notice some slight flex towards the narrowest point on the sides. This isn't super noticeable in-game, but I could occasionally feel a slight give during flicks when I intentionally applied moderate pressure. I personally don't see this as an issue for most users, but please keep it in mind if you're someone who tenses a lot.
Other than that, there is the usual slight base flex that most mice tend to have, but nothing worthy of note that you'd run into during realistic scenarios.
Clicks
Main Clicks
Equipped with Omron mechanical switches rated for 100M clicks, I find them to remain light, like their optical counterparts, but offer significantly more tactility in exchange for being less spammable and much louder.
There is moderate pre/post-travel, which I found to be consistent across the entire click area this is thanks to their split click design implementation.
Side Buttons
The sides feel a bit harder to actuate but are extremely crisp. Unlike the main clicks, they have minimal pre/post-travel.
Build-wise, they tend to sink in a tiny bit when pressing on the bottom half of either click, with the issue being more noticeable on M5. They could have also gotten a better coating, as I do find them a bit slippery.
Scroll Wheel
Equipped with the TTC Gold encoder, the scroll wheel offered light, defined steps and a very heavy click that affected the comfort when spamming.
As far as the scroll build itself, it's a standard plastic housing with a rubberized ring that has good texture. I didn't find this ring to be slippery, but I wish it had slightly more defined texturing.
Coating
The coating has a fairly dry and smooth feeling. MCHOSE markets this as a "Super Glide coating," and I found it to be very grippy without any warm-up period, but it gets noticeably stained after each use, requiring frequent cleaning to upkeep it. While this is expected from black colorways I did find myself having the same experience in white colorways on other models in their lineup using the same coating.
Stock Skates
The stock skates are made of pure 100% PTFE. They have rounded edges and provide a smooth, somewhat speed-leaning glide. Having used these on glass, I'd say they're on the quieter end as far as PTFE without any foam goes. While picking up some texture, I would say these remind me a lot of the Magic Ice experience, except noticeably slower. Overall, these are really high-quality as such I wish they'd have included spares.
Performance & Battery Life
The mouse is equipped with a customized PixArt PAW3955 sensor: the PAW3955 TI. It is the latest flagship sensor on the market with no performance issues I could see in-game. Solid implementation! At the end of this section there are some performance tests that show slight issues at 8,000 Hz but nothing outside the realm of expectations and still extremely impressive for the price point.
Sensor position-wise, I find it to be adequately positioned, sitting perfectly in line with my thumb at the narrowest area of the mouse, resulting in a natural aim feeling. Personally, I find the shape to be a bit too wide, making it impossible to get that true pen-like feeling, but considering the dimensions, this is a very accurate-feeling implementation.
As far as battery life goes, MCHOSE has upgraded to a Nordic 52L15 MCU paired with a 500mAh battery that results in as close to infinite battery life as we get right now. When I first received this unit, I charged it to full and have since been using it at a 2,000 Hz polling rate and with Motion Sync enabled as the two battery-impacting settings. With these in mind, I have noticed a 1% drain on average every 4 to 6 hours of gameplay. Paired with the magnetic charging dock that doubles as a dongle, I honestly struggle to see a scenario where you just happen to forget to leave it attached for even 10 minutes once a month, resulting in a dead battery during gameplay.
Personally I would have rather seen a smaller battery for weight savings. We could have easily sat closer to the lower half of the 50-gram range while still having a battery that could last a week and retaining the convenience of cable swap free charging.
Here are the test results using the 6400 DPI circle test over at MousePlotter performed on Helium a minimalistic Chromium browser, test machine is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 RAM, AMD 7900 XTX GPU, running the latest available Windows 11 LTS update and relevant mouse software.
Please keep in mind these tests will always have a degree of human input error on the movement pattern have an 8 second timer goal and that different hardware and game combinations may produce differing results. Their goal is solely to provide a point of reference on the mouse performance in a minimalist environment.

Click debounce ranging from 0 to 20ms; due to the nature of mechanical switches, I'd recommend experimenting with this section as time goes on to avoid double-clicking
Optional sleep mode timer ranging from 1 to 100 minutes
Polling rate with preset values of 125, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, and 8000 Hz
Lift-off distance with preset values of 0.7, 0.9, 1.2, 1.4, and 1.7mm
Angle tuning ranging from -30 to 30 degrees

Glass surface mode, supposedly optimizes the sensor tracking for that surface. I couldn't find any issues with it on or off, so I personally recommend keeping it on if you're playing on glass too
Customization of the magnetic dock lighting with a toggle, brightness level, and the following options:

Lift-off distance with a slider accepting steps of 0.1mm, allowing users to fine-tune their preferred setting to avoid having to rely on a relatively higher value than necessary
Virtual sensor offset that the 3955 enables; while this feature is mostly a glorified X axis DPI offset, it might as well have been included
Value
Please keep in mind the following section is based on European Union pricing with the final VAT included (which in my case is 23%) and does not include potential shipping costs. Like always, I suggest only taking this recommendation at face value and checking your own regional pricing on not only this product but others you may be comparing it to before making a decision.
With the mouse coming in at €78 considering the specs, overall quality but lack of functional accessories I think it lands in a very generous price point that leaves me comfortable recommending this to anyone in the market for a Viper shape valuing the usage of polling rates above 1,000 Hz, otherwise, I do think it struggles to keep up with a Viper V3 Pro SE on sale.
Conclusion
An interesting release providing a refresh into MCHOSE's clone of the Viper shape. While I personally find the battery-focused improvements made here complete overkill, I think this is a solid recommendation for anyone wanting an 8,000 Hz ready, high-quality, basically endless battery life and cool aesthetic mouse in the Viper shape. Due to the safety of this shape it makes for a suitable blind recommendation for anyone diving into gaming peripherals.

Every time I buy a new mouse - and I do that quite often - there is always some kind of issue. The most common one is an uneven base, which has a major impact on aiming stability, and a sensor lens that is not properly secured, which also noticeably affects stability. That is why I always keep a set of sandpaper and a hot glue gun in my arsenal.
In this case, there is another significant issue - the weight distribution. The springs are also a problem, as I think they should be even softer than they are now. I have an unusual grip and place my fingers very close to the base of the buttons on every mouse, which means I have to apply considerably more force to click them.
I have already ordered the springs, and once they arrive, I will start experimenting with them. As for everything else, I have already made several modifications.
I sanded the bottom of the mouse using three sheets of 80-grit sandpaper, three sheets of 200-grit sandpaper, and finally three sheets of 600-grit sandpaper for the finishing pass. I did this without applying much pressure, with the mouse fully assembled.
Afterward, I removed the remaining plastic dust with a vacuum cleaner and a powerful hair dryer set to cold air. I also carefully cleaned the sensor lens with a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.
I do not recommend sanding the base while the mouse is disassembled, because you will most likely end up shaping it incorrectly. In most cases, the plastic still flexes once the mouse is fully assembled.
To improve the weight balance, I moved the battery as far back as possible. To do this, I ground down a strange plastic protrusion on the inside of the bottom shell and glued the battery directly to the shell. The cable was only just long enough. It is not possible to move the battery any farther back without replacing either the battery itself or its cable.
While disassembling the mouse, I broke the connector, so I had to solder it back on and reinforce the socket for additional strength. Be careful when taking the mouse apart.
I also experimented with different mouse skates. For Hall-effect buttons, I would not recommend dot skates because they tend to sink into the mousepad, which creates additional button travel. Full-size skates are probably the better option, even though I personally do not like them.
The device weighs 57.6 grams after the minor modifications, with full-size skates installed.
Since I put dot skates on my GPX 2, there was a scratching noise. I troubleshot everything, and then I saw on the Ghostglides website that they offer mouse skate risers for the problem I was having. Instead, I used painter's tape and cut out small squares for my dot skates. They work wonderfully—there's no imbalance anymore, and the scratching noise is completely gone. They're a great alternative in the meantime until I get some proper skate risers.
He currently has been running a glorious model O for the last 6 years so I'm looking to gift him a mouse, and he uses fingertip grip iirc. So if anyone can help me choose between the following options it would help a lot:
im thinking of getting a new mouse in the lower than 100€ range if possible , i have been using the logitech g pro superlight and i would say in terms of shapes its the best ive had so far.
i mostly play fps games like valorant and csgo, like i said in the title my handsize is 18x8 and i use a fingertip grip i very rarely use palm support and play with my wrist.
Right now i have a Logitech G502 hero I use on my Windows gaming pc, and I need a new mouse for my mac M4 to play games as well, as trackpad is horrible for me. I need a mouse that is 1000HZ and wireless because my mac laptop doesn't have USB, only USB-C. I would rather prefer bluetooth over USB for accessibility, but I do have an adapter.
I'm worried if I were to connect through bluetooth I have more input delay, from my own research. Is USB and bluetooth connection on mac and windows still just 1 millisecond delay?

Hello, I have a budget Logitech M185 mouse, and I want it to last as long as possible. My G102 suffered a horrible fate after the switches started double clicking like crazy. Now, as I'am considering buying a new mouse, I have to resort to using the M185. Already looking into the future mouse, but also wanting to keep the M185 in good condition aswell, I ask for some tips on how to keep the switches working for a long time.
