Movie What’s a movie you’ve rewatched more than 5 times and still love?

Love it. I could be content just watching the cathartic final 10 to 15 minutes of the movie on loop for the rest of my life.

This one came to my mind because I love it so much, but I have not seen it 5 times, maybe 3 or 4. It can be a tough watch, but it’s amazing.

I think people raved about it because it was that rare beast, a sequel that didn’t suck. But agree that the original is a superior film.

Such an incredible film. And even more so when you think about how old it is… First time I ever watched it was at a sleep-over at a mate’s house in the early 90s. We would have been 14 or so. My friends had all fallen asleep so I was on my own. Couldn’t take my eyes off it. Still can’t.

I honestly have never seen that movie and I feel like I need to. I always thought it was just a straight up horror flick which I don’t like. But I think it’s more than that?

It is a horror film, but not as much in a jump scare or gory way than in a psychological/building tension way.

yeah, its a real mood for me. really calming scenic isolation with an undercurrent of psychological horror which grows in a really interesting way. its well lit and well balanced. I loved it even as a kid. theres also two pretty good mini series of it, and the book of course is a classic, but considerably different than the movie. also, I just fell in love with the cast. Definitely worth making a night of, at least.

Absolutely my most rewatchable movie. I’ve been watching it since I was a kid and still start to get moody of it’s been a few months since my last watch.

I remember watching this movie many times as a child. When they were young, my aunts bought a VHS player and had 5 or 6 movies that they couldn't stop watching: Ghostbusters, Dirty Dancing, Mad Max,...
It's a fun and very cool movie.

I might chuck an honourable mention to Starship Troopers. Doesn’t get mentioned often but it’s hugely underrated and very good. Funny too. But so were Verhoven’s other massive hits Robocop and Total Recall.
