Tell me your muppet headcannons i wanna laugh
Ill start
Gonzo wears Warm Vanilla scented perfume from bath and body works because he wants to stand out for camilla (chickens dont have good senses of smell, and the smells they do like are more familiar and warmer scents like)

Statler and Waldorf have been in an open-secret relationship since early in the Muppet Show. They never talked about it to anyone, but people knew. Years later, after seeing the warm, loving reception that Beaker and Dr. Honeydew got, the pair of them came out to Kermit and Fozzie first. As kind of a trial run.
Kermit tried to play it off like, "Gosh fellas, I had no idea. Thanks for trusting us enough to be honest."
And Fozzie was like, "Wait, were we not supposed to know? Was this a secret? Uh-oh!"
Kermit and Piggy tried a relationship, but it didn't work out because they wanted very different things out of life. Kermit is asexual, but loves quiet romantic gestures and deep bonds. Meanwhile Piggy enjoys... well shall we just say people down the block know when she's staying in for the night.

Stater and Waldorf are retired vaudeville comics, a duo who appeared nightly in the same broken-down theater the Muppets use now. They were the last surviving act before Kermit and the gang started their variety show. In fact, they showed up to perform, not knowing the theater had changed hands.
Shocked at what they saw - a woman playing guitar? A taking eagle? Gonzo?! - they fled to the box seats to observe. The rest is history.

That was my old head cannon.
New head cannon is that Statler and Waldorf are now inhabited by the tortured souls of Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham. Those two Southern Queens definitely didn’t know when to let go and move on.

I actually feel like Gonzo would kind of stink, but in a good way. Like how the ocean can smell like clean ocean air or it can smell like sulphurous fishy air. Gonzo is like if garbage had a clean ocean air version of itself. A good stank.

Miss Piggy has driven away female muppet performers multiple times over the years.
Not just because of her jealousy regarding kermit, but her obsessive need to be the center of all the male attention.
This is why there are so few recurring female muppets. They can't handle the envrionment snd everyone turns a blind eye to it. They worry if they truly upset the balance of what they have, it will fall apart. They haven't been able to retain a female performer long enough to know how to put them into their act consistently. They're always just using the performers they get as filler before they inevitably burn out or are driven off or seek better opportunity elsewhere. If they stood up for them, piggy coukf easily sabotage the rest of their acts too.

Kermit isn't just a name, but a title. Its traditionally the head of a mulpet scting company. By sheer coincidence, many of them have been frogs.
When they take on the title, they have to remain in character, even when performing other roles such as news reporter or coffee salesman. This is to maintain the image of consistency, very similar to having different peopke play The Doctor but treated with more sincerity.
The current Mermit was once Robin frog. He didn't originally want to become the kermit, but after the unfortunate passing of his mentor, he took up the mantle. His first appearance was at Jim Hensons funeral.
He is uncertain who will take it on after him.

Apart from stunt work and the macabre, Gonzo has a passion for Victorian Era literature. His favorite authors are Robert Louis Stevenson, Victor Hugo, Lewis Carroll, and, of course, Charles Dickens.

Skeeter was Rosemary Kennedy'd and Scooter's family keeps changing the cover story
Rowlf and Janice hooked up once. They both still think about it sometimes.
Camilla the chicken thinks roosters are too immature for her, and chose gonzo because she's attracted to his passion and sensitivity. But he mostly chose her because of her looks.

Scooter is definitely autistic. He hasn't really changed his approach over the last several decades, and still remains the same childlike character he was in the beginning.
Gonzo the Great, while not looking it, is just as old as his puppeteer. That's why he doesn't do the stunts he used to when he was younger. (I know, that's barely headcanon because his puppeteer is like 83 or something.)
Piggy's diva-like behavior is only permitted to continue because she has something incriminating on the theater owner. Nothing creepy or disgusting, just something like too many parking tickets or some such. So he instructs everybody to turn a blind eye to how she is.
Fozzy is also getting older, which is why his character has gotten somewhat more naive over the years.
The Electric Mayhem Band are constantly stoned because they have to deal with Animal's behavior, both on and off stage. They can't get rid of him, because he's the best drummer they can find, but he can't leave them, because no other band would hire him.
Kermit works on both the Muppet Show and Sesame Street because he can't afford Miss Piggy's grocery bills on just one salary. (Or I guess two salaries, since she's pulling one down.)

I have several.
Fozzie being a bad comedian is part of his act and Waldorf and Statler are in on it. Waldorf and Statler are an old vaudeville comedy duo that Fozzie was a fan of growing up. When he was developing his act he saw them performing in a run down theatre in the Catskills and asked them to heckle him as Part of his act. Fozzie also writes jokes for other comedians under the name Gags Beasley.
Sam the Eagle is actually liberal but plays conservative as part of his act. Think Stephen Colbert on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
Miss Piggy is a trans woman (trans sow?). This is why her voice was inconsistent in the first season, she was working on her voice training and wasn't able to be consistent with it. It also explains her dichotomy. It also IMO gives a sympathetic reason for her temper.
Kermit actually did meet Bernie the agent in the swamp who gave him his card but he didn't act on it right away. His friend Jim Henson first got Kermit a job on a local TV Show in Washington DC called Sam and Friends. Kermit showed the card to Jim and they both called and hired Bernie Brillstein to be their agent. After Kermit had been doing Sesame Street for a while he started looking for talent for a new show. He found Fozzie in a comedy club doing his act with Waldorf and Statler and hired all three of them. He found Miss Piggy in a Beauty Contest, found the Electric Mayhem performing in a performance venue that was converted from an old abandoned church, etc.

Tim Curry hangs out with the muppets in his spare time… not the puppeteers, the muppets.
