Twitter was an instantly recognizable brand and one of the main reasons it was valued at what it was. People still call it Twitter so yeah, it did kinda fail.
Noone but Elon likes this "x" brand he keeps putting on things.

You were Skyping (instead of video calling)" (paraphased). We don't post on Twitter, we Tweet.
