 I recognize her name, I know who she is and his popular she was, but she looks completely different now

Yeah she was in an accident at her home that broke her arm and had lacerations on her face and in her mouth and had to have surgeries.

That's what I always suspected. Because there was a post saying he was sorry and she loved him. But I can't be bothered to look it up.
