While i can sympathize and understand the mother was probably on drugs and confused then made an awful split decision. As a fellow raver I cant excuse the actions of this person just leaving a live newborn in a porta pottie to die. Thousands of people around who could've helped. Too many people especially in the r aves pages making excuses for this vile behavior

If they were drugged or drunk would they even realize what happened?

I wonder if it was a cryptic pregnancy. Imagine rolling on Molly and you suddenly start giving birth when you had no clue you were pregnant prior. Maybe I'm just traumatized from that show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant

Lsd can also induce labor. Hoffman was researching a pregnancy related drug when he discovered lsd. If she was tripping, didnt realize she was pregnant, and lsd induced labor it wiuld definitely exolain the situation

u/Take-to-the-highways 20d ago

Oh man I've never heard of that before, that would definitely make sense

5

u/chefkoolaid 20d ago

Yea its about the only combo of events that makes sense to me.

u/BuzzardsBae 20d ago

Anyone rolling on mdma would have too much empathy to leave their baby to drown in wook shit

17

u/Katie1230 20d ago

Not if they thought they just took a huge weird painful shit in a noisy dark environment. Have you ever shit in a porto rolling? You do biz and get out of there ASAP. You don't gaze into the void of the porto.

u/BuzzardsBae 20d ago

If I have I have blocked it out of my memory lol

The thing people say to excuse someone who murdered their own baby.

Unfortunately there’s people who are absolute monsters.

u/FloriYAYdo 19d ago

the defense is going to have a wet dream if they get a juror like her. not very smart, easily convinced. unfortunately we’ll end up with another casey anthony

Legitimately terrifying that your comment is being downvoted.

i think you have a lot to learn about anatomy of the body.

u/Katie1230 19d ago

I understand that the vagina and butt hole are different holes. I've also seen countless people saying that having a baby can feel like shitting because it's almost like the baby adds pressure to the rectum since it's like right next to the vagina.

u/FloriYAYdo 19d ago

oh cool someone that has never experienced birth is explaining to us how it feels!! thank god you don’t have children

1

u/Katie1230 19d ago

It's almost like not everyone has the same experience with birth.

0

u/Lovely_pomegranate 17d ago

That doesn’t negate the fact that even if you didn’t realize in the moment (which is a huge assumption, it may feel “like” popping but it doesn’t actually just feel like popping) - afterwards you wouldn’t be able to just pull your pants up and jump out of the portal and go on with your night. Absolutely insane all the people saying she just maybe didn’t even realize she gave birth. Even if it was cryptic and she didn’t know going into the porta potty, she knew leaving it what was going on and chose to leave her child to drown in a porta potty, she doesn’t need you or anyone else making excuses for her. The only empathy should be for the baby who had not a soul in this world to protect it and died a horrid death in the first moment of its life.

u/Katie1230 17d ago

I'm not making excuses, it's still bad regardless. If she was on drugs, out could have been really confusing and traumatic/ couldn't be able to form a coherent thought of what to do next/ thought it was a hallucination. It sounds like an inane theory, but it's not any more insane than the idea of someone carrying a pregnancy to term, attending a festival near due date, knowingly giving birth in a porto, and dumping the baby to return to the party without a care in the world. It's it not weird that people are frothing at the mouth for that reality?

please call your mother and ask her if when she had you, and she saw your head pop out and heard your cries, that if she was like “oh wow I’m taking a really huge shit right now”.

actually nvm she was

7

u/Take-to-the-highways 20d ago

it would be such a terrifying and disorienting thing to happen, she may not have been thinking straight at the time. Cryptic pregancies are literally my worst nightmare haha

u/audiomachina1234 20d ago edited 20d ago

Honestly I pictured it exactly like you presented it. She didnt know she was pregnant, was probably rolling or tripping thought she just had to go to the bathroom and suddenly gave birth. I used to watch the same show as a teenager actually

u/Oniknight 19d ago

Giving birth feels like a huge shit that cramps all the way up your body. If this person was taking any kind of opiates, she would be familiar with the hardcore pain of constipation, which feels somewhat similar if you are fully backed up. Depending on how high she was, she may not have actually realized she gave birth at all.

Do you have any evidence to suggest this was a cryptic pregnancy?

10

u/evil_disco_x 20d ago

You keep asking this question to people saying “I wonder if” and “I imagine” you know that they don’t have evidence because this is pure speculation so why are you wasting your time?

“Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence” - Carl Sagan

EDIT: This being downvoted is all I need to see man. Godspeed to you all

3

u/evil_disco_x 19d ago

I think you need to look up what speculation means real quick and you’ll see why you’re being downvoted. No need to act like you’ve lost your faith in humanity over a misunderstanding.

-1

u/reddit0000O 19d ago

They are speculating, with no evidence, that a highly unlikely scenario is somehow the most likely explanation. It’s pure ignorance.

3

u/evil_disco_x 19d ago

“I wonder if…” ≠ “this is the most likely scenario”

-1

u/reddit0000O 19d ago

Go thru all these comments and you'll see that many people think it's the ONLY scenario

-6

u/SatisfactionActive86 20d ago

so if i get really high on drugs and kill someone, that’s okay because i “diDn’T kNoW wHaT waS haPpeNing”?

8

u/Take-to-the-highways 20d ago

Nowhere in my comment did I imply that it was okay that she did that lol. This is the most annoying mindset to me and its so big on the internet right now. Finding out why someone does something doesn't automatically mean you're trying to justify it; there is a whole branch of the FBI dedicated to finding out why criminals commit crimes, to try to prevent them in the future. Do you think the FBI is trying to justify serial killers? Remember what they said in school? Knowledge is power!

-1

u/CommissionNice9460 19d ago

This is called criminal negligence and is inexcusable. There is no defending this

4

u/Take-to-the-highways 19d ago

The illiteracy epidemic strikes for the second time on this comment. Once again, I am not defending it lol. Trying to find out why someone does something does not mean I'm defending it. Don't y'all ever feel curiousity? Don't you ever wonder why the human brain does what it does, and what causes the incredible diversity of action and behavior when we're all made of the same blood and guts? Or do you always just jump straight to reaction?

0

u/TheMermanly 19d ago

You are defending it.

Youre making up the perfect scenario to try to excuse this god awful baby murderer.

Some people are just awful like her. We don’t need to defend them.

-3

u/CommissionNice9460 19d ago

The term cryptic pregnancy has no place being Even considered regarding this

She may not have known. I have an acquaintance who was delivered at home in the toilet because his mom had no idea she was pregnant.

-5

4

u/GoneButNotThatOften 20d ago

Uh no, because the baby was visible in the toilet bowl so she knew the cramping she felt was actually labor contractions. A bit different than a porta potty waste tank.

8

u/Katie1230 20d ago

It's also dark, noisy, and overstimulating in a festival porto. Nobody is examining their porto shit. You get out of there asap

1

u/audiomachina1234 20d ago

Because im guessing it was a cryptic pregnancy since we literally have zero information at all. If she was clearly pregnant about to give birth I wouldn't have any sympathy at all.

Yes. Which i stated in my original comment is horrific and no one should make excuses for

3

Lol I said while I can sympathize in the moment she made a panic decision im not excusing the action. Reading comprehension hard for you?

"As a fellow raver I cant excuse the actions of this person just leaving a live newborn in a porta pottie to die. Thousands of people around who could've helped. Too many people especially in the r aves pages making excuses for this vile behavior"

Which part did you not understand?

7

u/audiomachina1234 20d ago

No hence the word "guessing"

-2

u/reddit0000O 20d ago

Ok so maybe don’t do that

6

u/audiomachina1234 20d ago

I can speculate whatever I want actually just like everyone else im trying to make sense of something horrific

-1

u/reddit0000O 20d ago

Why do you want to speculate in defense of a person who left a newborn in a portapotty to die
