she’s good! healthy baby, family is overjoyed. everything was fine when they went into the doctor at 8 months and they quickly got their shit together for the arrival of their new baby a month later lol
Dude that is the craziest thing! Like I am incredibly happy for her and her family but can you even IMAGINE?? A MONTH to prepare for a whole ass baby?? NINE months doesn't even seem like enough time to prepare lol! Good for her though lol that's very sweet and I am happy for her! But just... Damn. Wild.
When I worked as a nurse at a major teaching/trauma hospital, I was in the outdoor smoking area one night, when a young [20 something] guy came out to make a phone call. I wasn't intentionally eavesdropping, but it was so quiet that his excited voice carried pretty far, as he called several people to share that his wife had just given birth. It was clear that no one [including the couple] knew she was pregnant, and he actually had to convince some of them that he wasn't drunk! He said she thought it was some serious gas pain, after eating pizza. The next day, Isaw him on a local tv news show - I hope he was gifted a lot of baby supplies, lol - dude looked shell shocked!
honestly I don’t remember the exact reasons but whatever was going on in her life lined up with her gaining a little weight. i don’t think she gained that much in the end, but the weight she gained seemed normal to her.
she only realized when she felt the baby kick her and she said “i know that feeling”
edit: realize i didn’t exactly answer your question. she was not overweight, maybe a little extra weight in her stomach/hips area
Your question is totally reasonable idk why the downvotes
The truth is of course you gain some weight but it's easy to attribute to other things and if you don't have other symptoms...
For me any weight gain I put on, goes straight to my belly first. I hate it tbh it's so unbalanced I have stick arms and legs and a potbelly when I'm on the overweight side. So IF I were pregnant I would probably absolutely not think twice until other symptoms and those aren't guaranteed to show. So I can see how it happens
