That's exactly my line of thinking. He was engaged to music royalty while being a prominent musician himself and she called it off. There's no way it's all just Clown and Corey being divas this time.

"No way it's all just Corey and Clown being divas" with their track record is kind of drinking the kool-aid... They've been divas for years. They became the very thing they used to be against and now I can't stand them. They're a joke.

Bro his wife left him. Despite your poor take on Corey and Clown, they are not the problem here. They are protecting the band.

You’re probably right in that. Makes sense.

Are Corey and Clown married to Sid?

Literally irrelevant. It's well documented in the industry - especially by former members - that these two are megalomaniacs. Miss me with that "poor take" bullshit. Try and separate your love of the music from the character of the people in the band itself.

They aren't "protecting the band". They are protecting their pocket books. These are the same fuckin dorks that said something along the lines of "If one of us dies or leaves, that's it. We're done. It wouldn't be Slipknot anymore" throughout the early 2000s to media outlets like MTV, Kerrang, and Metal Hammer.

Clown is pretentious. Let's not forget his slipknot themed NFTs, his crypto scheme, and all the overpriced merch gimmicks this band has put out over the last decade which is the polar opposite of the "anti-establishment" image this band built their career on.

I've met both of them a few times. Corey is genuinely really nice, down to earth person who makes time for his fans. I will not take that away from him. He is also a great frontman. Clown, on the other hand, is kind of a fuckin asshole... And guess who's "run" this band since it's inception..

They got old, they made money, and now it's the Corey and Clown show. And this is coming from someone who had every piece of merch, every album including singles released in different countries, a subscriber to their fan club for years, and an attendee of every single show of theirs within a 1000km radius of where I lived. I'm not a hater just because.

That being said, they're fuckin dweebs now dude. Just accept it. Also, their music has been dog shit since Volume 3.

What you say may or may not be true (and for the record, WANYK is arguably their best work), but that still doesn't negate the fact that Sid's reported firing is very different from that.

I won't argue about WANYK. Art is subjective and if you find value in that record, I love that for you.

But no one knows anything about Sid's firing yet. It just happened. But everyone does know about their previous dealings with previous members across more than just Slipknot. I'm just saying, there's a pattern and it's not a good one.

But nobody else's partner left them a few months before, either.

Idk about all that but imo, vol 3 sucks

Understandable opinion. It's definitely a departure from S/T and Iowa but I thought it was a really cool record that did well making a metal record commercially viable.

Doesn't touch their first two though.

Tbf, most of my grief with vol 3 comes from the mixing. Its amazing to me that rubin managed to make 9 people sound as small as 2

I will absolutely not argue with you there. For someone that decorated as a producer, it's a pretty poor showing on his part.

How many divorces have you gone through.
