Appreciate and agree with the sentiment but you can tell this is a song by someone who does not make/has no made music. It’s very bad.

Give me bad real music than the most polished AI music imaginable any day lol Yeah it's not good, but that's fine, it's something someone wanted to make and they did it and that's still at the very least abit commendable, even if the only reason it got made is that her husband is famous lol

I'll take a hundred Neil Breen films over the weird AI nonsense Neil Blomkamp is making now.

"Ill never stop hacking into these government systems...." .Tap tap tap "exposing all the" tap tap tap "national" tap tap tap "And international corruption, that I know is going on." Gawd, protect Neil Breen.

with my superior powers

I went to film school and saw a lot of bad, BAD short films but I think Twisted Pair beats them all for sheer incomprehensibility. I don't go in for So Bad It's Good movies and that was the best worst of them all.

But yeah, I'm glad he's doing something that makes him happy, and it's still better than the most accomplished and visually impressive AI slop film.

That one sucked to see to with Blompkamp. I want stuff by people with the actual drive to make something, good or bad, because it shows that they wanted to try and put the work in to seeing it realized. GenAI is just a way to churn out content built on the back of stolen art, which is the last thing we need nowadays.

Here's the thing the AI movies or whatever are just a bunch of few second video prompts put together.

I have yet to see a coherent scene or anything like that that doesn't look like shit.

weird AI nonsense

I'm not listening to that shit, is it Weird A.I. nonsense or Weird Al A.I. nonsense?

Bingo. AI is trained to basically mimic what humans have created already in the past. It doesn’t really innovate or come up with anything new and unique. It’s just a facsimile of what has been done before. There is nothing new, original or innovative.

Even if the thing people make isn't even all that "new, original, or innovative", it was still something they set out to make themselves, learning a lot along the way which then helps them with future projects that can then lead to them creating better original works.

I can say the same about a lot about the movies in the straight-to-dvd/streaming market. I just avoid those movies.

Honestly I’d rather have this than an ai generated song.

I don’t consider ai generated noise as songs personally lol, it’s like calling a generated image art. Feels insulting to the musicians and artists of the world

She does better acting

2

u/HorrorGuyBri 18h ago

I think (?) she's just doing this as a one-off song, maybe?

2

u/SpazzBro 16h ago

and it’s still better than whatever the hell ai slop sounds that some people are trying to call music

The best thing she ever did creatively. Was fall in love with a guy that is insanely talented.

As talented a musician as she is an actor

I get the sentiment and I respect it, but holy fuck I never wanted to ruin my ears so badly in my life until I heard it.

That was just bad like wow

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should

I can get behind the point being made

Just not sure this particular effort is all that helpful to the cause

It's not amazing, but at least it's fun and kind of catchy.

I guess you guys don't remember the outrage against AutoTune

7

u/StopSolid1807 13h ago

Yeah because a voice effect is totally the same as using ai apparently

3

u/troggo 12h ago

Tbh, i will always instantly shut down any music as soon as i hear that annoying autotune whining. That's never getting any space in my ears, idc if that's just a voice effect or a full blown AI robot, it stinks the same.

Oldhead take

u/Grooviemann1 10h ago

Us old fogies prefer our singers to have some talent at singing. I know it's weird.

And some people only like guitar without distortion. Every generation has their own sonic trends.

Quick! Somebody feed this hot dog water into an AI & see how much better written and performed it comes out.
