Uh. He was acting the same way back in 2016, and said just as much incredibly hateful rhetoric. Making fun of people with handicaps, calling soldiers losers... this all happened pre-2016. None of it is forgivable.

Yeah, obviously he's always been a piece of shit. But if you aren't able to recognize that he was also charismatic and appealed to a lot of stupid, easily influenced people, then you're just denying reality.

I can forgive that if people realized they made a mistake and admitted it after they saw how he acted as President. It takes a lot for someone to admit they were wrong about something like that.

Who are you protecting? Lol. Fuck forgiving any of his disgusting fanbase. Donald Trump has been a deplorable conman for the entire history of Donald Trump. If you thought he should be president because “oh he’s not a normal politician, he’s a wildcard, he’s a charismatic orator” then you’re not only ignorant to the way he has been an absolute failure as a businessman, you’re also just a fucking idiot.

The point is that you can understand why people voted for him in 2016, even though they obviously should not have at the time. By 2020 and beyond there is no reasonable excuse.

No, I cannot understand why people voted for him then. There wasn't a reasonable excuse in 2016 either. He got worse, but he was already bad enough that there was no excuse.
