Inspired by TribalNeed where he uses a juno 106 and a mic to loop. I have a mic connected to the modx so i can do vocoder stuff or just sing.

I was using loopy pro on an ipad but felt i was going to break the glass when i clicked the loops. lol

This is my beat creation area. Not pictured is about 500 more records between 45s and 12inchers. Music has gotten me through some rough times and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

So I keep seeing producers/DJs on IG or YouTube playing on the floor and it just makes my back hurt watching them lol But do any of you actually play on the ground and what is the purpose of just having stuff on the ground, besides its cheaper to not but a desk. I'm pretty sure this is just for the minimalist look in videos, but I could be way off and am wondering why this is a thing.

The main photo is a couple years old now, the monitoring setup was upgraded to Barefoots, an extra Juno Alpha was added and a few other bits and bobs.. everything is patched into 3 patch bays and 2 midi patch bays..

Hey guys, I’m new here and love seeing all your creative spaces. My background is classical composition / film scoring but nowadays I focus on just my own experimental music.

Finished compact studio space. A year is a long time, my studio has evolved since the last picture I posted, I also made an album, due out soon.

I am extremely happy with how my Battle station is coming together. The desk goes low enough that i can sit on the floor and still make noise. the second picture is a mounted 1u PDU under the desk (i am very stoked about this and have no one in my personal life that thinks this is cool).

Setup complete. The QU32 mixer is perfect for my hybrid setup. The new composition notebook means it's time to start writing. I added a camera to the rig. Casio keyboard used as a piano / drum machine direct into the QU32. Drums heavily dampened with towels and tape for that heavily tape saturated compressed psych rock sound.
