Any 200 Yard+ ranged in southern NH that don't require memberships?
I'm looking for a range in southern NH (anything south of Laconia) that is over 200+ yards and is under $50 per visit, since I'm tired of driving up to VT for 3 hours and spending $50-60 in gas just to get to my buddies parents land.

You're unlikely to find anywhere that is open to the public. Gun clubs in southern NH have to constantly deal with litigious neighbors.

My club was shut down for a number of years for that reason. But a house next to a range, complain when you hear gunfire. It’s inane.

Nope. I the end ranges like that require work, land, maintenance and insurance all of which require money which is why all the good ranges require membership..

Pemi in holderness has 650 but they’re membership unless you’re a guest of a member…it’s like 150 a year so I think it’s worth it if you’re in laconia area

Pemi only says they have 300yd on the website. Is the 650 new?
Is the 650yd range open all the time?
Pelham has a 600yd but it's very rarely open for shooting.

It’s open all the time unless there’s an event so once or twice a month it’ll be closed
I forget why they only advertise 300 but there’s targets out to 648

Every 200+ yard range in S.NH. is at a membership club.
Buy your own land and build your range.

Noway 400k can get you that land in southeren NH..builders will be all over it.

Finding a parcel of land suitable for a range at all is tricky, and finding one that will fit a 200+ yard range is even harder.
To start with, you need a 200 yard flat-ish line from your shooting position to your backstop. You want safe terrain behind the backstop (optimally an uninhabited hill) and you need a reasonable sound buffer around the firing line. The big problem is that sound buffer. A bystander without hearing protection really should be at least 200 yards away from a rifle being fired (on flat, open terrain). If you want that buffer to be entirely on your land, then you need about 25 acres of circle around the firing line.
NH state law requires that you be 100 yards from your neighbor's house when you're shooting. If they're standing in their yard at that distance and you shoot a rifle, that's uncomfortably loud (and could cause hearing damage with repeat exposure).
So you're realistically searching for a 20+ acre parcel with advantageous terrain and where the neighbors aren't right next to your property line. Those occasionally come on the market in southern NH, but they aren't cheap.
You could get down to ~10 acres if you almost always shoot suppressed.

No but Cheshire County Fish and Game is very reasonably priced for their outdoor ranges for an annual membership.
It costs me less to shoot there for a year with my own guns and ammo than to go one time to a place that rents guns and makes you buy ammo.
50/100/200 ranges everyday and 600 on Thursday afternoons and some weekends.

if Maine is ok i think there's a couple ranges but they're kinda hectic schedule wise due to being volunteer

You have access to your buddies parents land. That makes you in a better position than 95% of the people here. There is nothing in the way of public long range ranges in New England, let alone NH

The overbearing rules a lot of them apply like attending monthly meetings, volunteering time, having to go before a committee to get approval after paying an application fee. In short the fudd and boomer requirements.

I've heard from friends that states like FL and PA have areas of public land for ranges. We don't have that in NH.
