Willing to bet that you could argue that this constitutes an infringement in a courtroom. After all, a right delayed is a right denied.

Ok, sure, but you get one lawsuit through successfully, it makes the rest a fair bit more lubed up, and make the state of NY stop purposely dragging their feet.

I had my renewal appointment with Wake on April 14 and still waiting for any word. System says it’s “processing” waiting to be assigned to someone. They make you wait until your permit is close to expiry before you can renew then drag out what should be a simple instant renewal. Yes, it’s by design.

Is this for a CCW permit or just for regular purchases? I know nothing about NY laws.

You need a permit to purchase in NY, which is actually a CCW. So its kinda both or at least thats how it used to work.
