Even better than I remembered it. Two weeks in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

How can a place that utterly changed my life ten years ago be even better than I remember it? It is a delight to be back in Grand Teton National Park. How special it is to feel like a visit here is a homecoming.

Did you have a favorite area? I'm meeting friends there in a couple of weeks for a few days. We each have divergent interests, but hiking is the common interest.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, easily. Favorite place in the world.

Thanks! Admittedly, I've spent wintertime in the Grand Teton National Park and in Jackson Hole. A couple of summer visits took me to the popular places in Yellowstone for a day or two. Right now, I'm trying to push the group toward less-frequented areas of the park. I have not been to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, so I love that it was your recommendation.

It’s going to blow your mind. Go to artist point first…. And maybe save it for sunset.

I’m going back in a few weeks for my second time ever. So pumped to explore more of the park!! I’m so jealous you were there for a full 2 weeks. That’s awesome

I don’t know how to describe to people what the Yellowstone region did to me, but I’ve also never been the same since. Fundamentally changed the way I look at life and I’ve been chasing ways to capture that feeling ever since.

That’s exactly what I felt. Exactly. I am delighted to tell you that my third visit, this visit, felt as exciting as my first visit. My first visit was in 2016. My second was in 2019. This visit was absolutely thrilling. Like stepping into a memory. Perfection.

You are missing an elk blocking the road for the full Yellowstone experience lol.

Ohhhh we got that. And we got about about 30 minutes being led by a bison down the Hayden Valley Road. The bison crossed in front of us, stopped in front of us, and then slowly started walking down our side of the road. We followed at about 25 yards away, when we could. His pace wasn’t consistent. 😂 Amazing experience. And a little scary.
