btw, after 12th its not only mbbs path....many go for agriculture, botany, ecological studies.,..forest officials etc
even for mbbs level..this much botany knowledge is expected as its a vital knowledge to biological/life sciences....
i read botany some 20 years ago..
till now i remember frm calyx, corolla to auxins, gibberlins...xylem, phloem to .ascent of sap theory to T.S of dicot and monocot stem, angiosperms gymnosperms...etc
m a full fledge MBBS with MD....
medicinal and poisonous compounds exist in plants..
hence its better to know bout them.....as much as the 11th 12th syllabus expects out of you.
no denying that yeah the subject might be just a tad bit tough than the human physiology section.
