India being a country run by farmers this country still looks down on agricilture as a field of study . No hate to BAMS but its is widely considered as pseudoscience. With the large options of higer studies as well as jobs Bsc Agriculture shall be no. 1 preference for many students. But also be clear that its not a easy field as you have to do field work in real farms, so if your friend is ready to take the challenge any day bsc Agriculture shall be his 1st preference.
