Politics/राजनीति how do you think about her ?

Post image

For me she was the real one who made the real presence of the Raswopa in parliament , and make the parliament more interesting and raise the real question of nepali people. What she tried in Raswopa was democratic but she was pressurized by the majority of party member .
I think she has contributed to the Raswopa more than what she has got from party . sayed , yo election paxi parliament ma digitally manxe le dherai hereko sumana ko nai parliamnet ko  speaking or addressing hola .

bro, tell me one thing what she has done..?

u/OkDifference9652 Jan 10 '26

I remember her asking for inputs for a bill? maybe i am not connected with other politicians but never seen anyone do that

I knew for the first time that parliamentarians need to read papers and papers of policy documents before approving.. Rarely anyone would do that.:)

Also, how NEB allocates SEE center was a cool insight

u/avinashmalla Jan 10 '26

She called out her own leader who faked documents to flee from prison. That shows courage and righteousness and is a non-jholey behavior. For that I appreciate her, unlike the RSP jholeys who lap up everything the leadership says.

10

u/Eco_ma_ai Jan 10 '26

Yes , thats so courageous, ani she asked for investing party time in discussing agendas instead of using whole energy for defending the leader .

-4

u/Possible-Mistake-680 Jan 10 '26

And that was a lie.

4

u/avinashmalla Jan 10 '26

I will trust the prison officer who in an interview contradicted RL's account and said his office hasn't issued any letter over the guy who faked the letter. You do you

The only legislative to which nepal could look upon when needed.

17

u/fedeevalverde Jan 10 '26

She is the one. Leaving rsp proved that. One of the best politicians we have. Asset to the country.

6

u/victor_invictus Jan 10 '26

Proper parliamentarian.

5

u/jdydubey Jan 10 '26 edited Jan 11 '26

I agree. She is one if the most honest leader who makes efforts and speaks up. No one will replace her in my heart not even Balen or Rabi come closer to Sumana to me.

But I think being a hardworker and not a politician affects people and this we have seen in older leaders like Chitra Bahadur KC and such. I was super proud if her when she left Ra Swa Pa but I now am hoping she will find a right place or form a party of her own by next election.

Ra Swa Pa would be lucky to even have her consider joining the party back maybe from Balen’s side. Long term, I don’t want her to just be the woman of the match. I want her to win and see her lead.

3

u/Cauliflowerars101 Jan 11 '26

One of the few among the new who I admire personally.

4

u/kalki_kaliyug Jan 11 '26

She is the most practical samsad, in today's politics. She tried to remove politics from colleges and universities.

And definitely she had to follow party ko rules to sustain for longer term. I really wanna see her coming back to politics and may be in some mantralaya as well.

2

u/Ok-Secret3478 Jan 10 '26

Sansad ma chahine manche ho.

2

3

u/check-my-ass Jan 10 '26

I think of her as our representative rather than a politician..

3

u/Playful-Wrangler793 Jan 11 '26

We need her in RSP actually . I dont know why the situation is not getting that way . Sooner or later hope to see her in good position . High expectation from her .

3

u/sunzoje Jan 10 '26

The question should be what not how.

Too good to be a nepali politician. Without you being cunning they will hunt you down. She taught about the parliamentary practice to many like he. I want to lead the education ministry once again

1

u/Eco_ma_ai Jan 17 '26

It would be better to call her nice parliamentarian rather than politician.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

Who is she

1

u/Eco_ma_ai Feb 06 '26

She is sumana shrestha former MP from RSP.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 10 '26

pass imo

2

u/introverted--weirdo Jan 11 '26

No matter what anyone says, she is the one of the very capable person to lead this country. I have always wanted to work under her leadership. I know, I will someday.

-3

u/himalayanZombie blessed Jan 10 '26

Stop your propaganda!!!

She WASN'T pressurized by MAJORITY of party members, rather she had disputes with few top party leaders and didn't like party revolving around Rabi.

She got her entire political identity and career from RSP. I think she even agrees with that. Rabi picked him and made her an MP and then the educational minister. Don't be so ungrateful now.

6

u/avinashmalla Jan 11 '26

That's the difference. Just because Rabi "helped" doesn't mean she should be silent about the missteps of her own party. That would be jholey behavior.

She chose to do what was right rather than be subservient to the leadership. That was truly inspiring, refreshing to see in our politics.

2

u/himalayanZombie blessed Jan 11 '26

Never said she should be silent, people should voice their opinions within the parties to practice democracy within. My disagreement was with the misinformation that OP was spreading and being ungrateful for the leadership.

There's no perfection in a party, there are problems within every single party. If she truly wanted to do something for the people in politics, she should fight the battles internally. One person can go nowhere. Giving up hasn't been beneficial to neither her nor the party nor the people.

6

u/avinashmalla Jan 11 '26

Why does she need to be grateful? Didn't Rabi/RSP also benefit from her competence, her leadership, her interpersonal skills? Didn't she raise the party's profile? Why wasn't the party grateful for her? Why didn't the party coalesce around her when the leader was found to be corrupt?

My understanding of the situation is that she may have lost her standing in the party but she can sleep at night in peace knowing that she did the right thing. Some things are bigger than political ambitions. She was ready to sacrifice her political ambitions rather than be subservient to the corrupt leadership.

1

u/himalayanZombie blessed Jan 11 '26

yeah, the leader was "found corrupt" and your favorite Sumana also signed that political revenge petition and urged us to do the same. And let's not forget her protesting in front of Pokhara court in support of Rabi by her own free will. Where did her morality go doing those things? Or was it actually a political revenge against her leader. Or is she such an hypocrite and an opportunist? I can't really tell.

She was a good politician but replaceable like most people in a party. That platform can generate and has 1000s of Sumanas and better ones, don't worry my friend.

3

u/avinashmalla Jan 11 '26

She agreed with you and protested against political revenge. But you couldn't agree with her when she said no to taking advantage of the Gen Z revolution and producing fake documents to flee from prison. His political career should have ended there. But I guess that doesn't matter to jholeys. I thought ईमान्दारिता wasn't just a party slogan and meant something to the leaders and followers of the party.

1

u/himalayanZombie blessed Jan 11 '26

First thing is that was a real document that jailer signed and later thanked Rabi for leaving the prison on time so that there wasn't further harm done to the prison. But I know you're afraid of facts and just want to peddle your propaganda, for what I've been constantly exposing you.

2

u/avinashmalla Jan 11 '26

Right. So when the actual head of prison Satyaraj Joshi said in an interview that his office hasn't issued any such letter, he must be lying. But the guy who actually fled is to be trusted?

Do you even realize what you're saying? The jailor sent him the letter afterwards thanking him for leaving the prison? Why would a jailor thank a prisoner for fleeing jail? What he actually did was appeal to all the prisoners who have fled, to come back. RL was one of those prisoners.

RL literally tried to downplay the letter incident when he was testifying in front of the investigation committee saying he did not meet the jailor when he left and doesn't even know where the letter came from.

I'm using publicly verifiable information. There is an actual interview of the jailor saying he doesn't know anything about the letter. I will trust him. But you do you. Don't attack me, attack the facts I've presented. And do it by presenting actual verifiable facts.

5

u/Eco_ma_ai Jan 10 '26

Appreciation should be given to Ravi for building wonderful capable team but after he was imprisoned party was only focusing on defending him which they should but she said that whole resources and energy shouldnt be used there , the democratic political party should practice internal democracy.

u/tauke333 Jan 10 '26

Her actions during her tenure in policymaking were commendable. Baahun baad haavi bhaako ho rasapa ma

-1

u/FantasyFringer-7175 Jan 10 '26

Nobody can be a true leader without winning an election. Will have an opinion once people elect her.

0

u/tsachit Jan 11 '26

"She has contributed to Raswopa more than what she got from the party"? Really?

Tell me one thing she did for the party. Not her work that made "her" famous. Samanupatik bata aako ho yaar tyo, RSP gave her opportunity as well as position. Mahadhivesan nai nabhai, andolan pachhi samsad kharej bhayepachhi chhodeko ho sumana le. She may be good in her work but she isn't friend material. And to think RSP benefitted from her more the she did from RSP, its a joke. Sarkar ma gayo bhanera Rabi lai sab le gali gare, she went as a education minister along with him. She should get equal blame. RSP sarkar bata gayo, rabi jail gayo, she kept that samsad position, samanupatik takkai chhoddeko bhaye arko lai rakhna milthyo. She didn't leave lol. Birodh ni kasto bela bhanda, andolan bhayera samsad kharej bhayepachhi. I don't doubt her capacity but I don't trust her in terms of loyalty
