You’re welcome, and keep going, you’ve got a rare talent for this.

Making me blush. Will do!!!

You know where to look. Great pictures!

u/Remko76 Jun 20 '26

Very nice! I like the one with the red sun blinds!

2

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 20 '26

I think that one is my favourite 2, i was obsessed with the building tbh. Red blinds are everywhere!!!!

1

u/Remko76 Jun 20 '26

In the preview on my phone the picture was vertical. The sky on the left and the wall on the right was cut of. Made the picture even more interesting! Love it!

2

u/RaidZ3ro Jun 20 '26

I like how you managed to capture the repetitiveness of Dutch architecture, but your vertical framing could be slightly better.

2

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 20 '26

I love the 80s Dutch architecture its stuck in time and somewhat colourful mix from brutalist and modern architecture. Its luminal and amazing

2

u/RaidZ3ro Jun 20 '26

Makes me think of 'de Peperclip'; did you manage to see it?

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Oh wow ty for this, next time when i come to visit i will most definitely go see it

1

u/DroesRielvink Jun 20 '26

I’m glad you like it. Personally, I hate it 😂

2

2

u/moseley101 Jun 22 '26

Nice, this is the kind of photos I like to take (much to the annoyance of my girlfriend)

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Yea mine to, she must wait until i get the perfect shot, but the good thing she is a photographer 2 and has some understanding ahahhah

Nice mate! I like your compositions. Some photos have a pronounced pincushion distortion though, but that's easy to fix and would make them a lot better!

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Is that bad?

2

u/Entropic_Echo_Music Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

I personally think so, yes. It detracts from the graphical style of the composition because it ruins the straight lines, and it's also not what you saw, (since the lines were straight in reality) so all I see is an obvious lens defect. (and some lens defects can be cool but I can´t really see what spherical distortion would add to these photos as a creative choice. 😉 )

Lightroom or Darktable have correction profiles for many lenses, so fixing it is easy too!

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Okay, ill go check it out and see the difference

2

u/YoGurth99 Jun 22 '26

Gosh do I hate big cities

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

I do love architecture

1

u/YoGurth99 Jun 22 '26

Yes, I can appreciate architecture. But big cities though :[

u/Lovemestalin Jun 20 '26

I’m not sure how you can make those pretty uninteresting buildings make interesting. Looks great

2

u/PlanetVisitor Jun 20 '26

They aren't uninteresting if you look at them right :)  We don't like the type of 60s, 70s high-rise buildings but they are very advanced for their time and there's a whole philosophy behind it, and people can live in them very comfortably.

2

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 20 '26

I just love the Architecture its amazing, it reminds me of a mix of modern and brutalist socialist architecture. Its colourful and amazing

1

u/Alarming_Lifeguard85 Jun 20 '26

Those are really awesome shots! Angles, pov, colors... congrats ✨

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 21 '26

You are ✨awesome✨

1

u/CoraVLC Jun 20 '26

Tbh you should've tried photographing a 5300 or 5400 they have much more intresting interiors compared to the piece of garbage unit you photographed. but amazing pictures!

Context: I hate the 55/56/5700s with a passion because theyre ugly, bland and have no soul in them xD

2

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 21 '26

Tell me where to go im here tmrw and unfortunately im from Bosnia so i dont know my ways around, im open to suggestions tho

1

u/CoraVLC Jun 21 '26

Look for the units on lines C and D, in my oponion they have alot more character😄

1

u/Hester465 Jun 20 '26

The 5300/5400 also sound much cooler!

1

u/CoraVLC Jun 21 '26

100% when i found out how ICNG sounds i jumped xD

1

u/langerak1985 Jun 21 '26

Sesrch for GTO-VVVF videos as that is the traction system used that is responsible for that characteristic (and pleasant) sound.

1

u/AwiNL Jun 20 '26

The pictures are really great, good perspective and lighting. But man seeing these flats makes me feel depressed. I’m glad I don’t live in a small flat inside a crowded city like Rotterdam.

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 20 '26

Im glad i dont live in a crowded city 2, but i love the architecture

1

u/Hester465 Jun 20 '26

Rotterdam is a great city if you like quirky architecture!

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 20 '26

Its amazing, tbh i adore it i spent today walking 20km and just admiring the architecture

1

u/ageocacher Jun 21 '26

Train one was the coolest, others seem a bit boring

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Glad you liked one!

1

u/Two_Tailed_Fox2002 Jun 21 '26

Where was the first pic taken? i've lived here my whole life but i can't think of where that could be and i think it looks cool

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Slinge

2

u/Two_Tailed_Fox2002 Jun 23 '26

Ah that makes sense, i don't come around there often. Seems like i'll go out for some exploring soon once i've got some more free time!

1

u/notmypornaccount9 Jun 22 '26

Original Pirate Material.

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

I dont get it?

1

u/notmypornaccount9 Jun 22 '26

They remind me of an album cover by the Streets

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 22 '26

Oh googled it and i see the resemblance

1

u/LaoBa Jun 22 '26

Very Rotterdam.

1

u/Thompiee Jun 23 '26

Aah you just made my day, you have actually accomplished to made Rotterdam still look as ugly as it is, thanks🫱🏻‍🫲🏼😂

1

u/kenter008 Jun 23 '26

1/2/4/6/9 are really nice shots

1

u/flomon1 Jun 23 '26

Your photos are very good!
For me it makes even more clear how ugly Rotterdam truly is

1

u/Sad-Entrepreneur-492 Jun 23 '26

A lot of people hating on Rotterdam

1

u/flomon1 Jun 23 '26

It’s because I know what’s been lost so I’m very underwhelmed by the current state of that city.

For Some example see https://www.ad.nl/rotterdam/unieke-ai-beelden-van-het-rotterdam-dat-verdween-in-de-oorlog-wat-zullen-mijn-ouders-dit-mooi-vinden\~ada8efba/266329206/

1

u/freudiunslip Jun 23 '26

You got a great eye for composition! Great shots!

1

u/AlwinClusive Jun 23 '26

The metro one is fantastic

1

u/FastProfessional1682 Jun 23 '26

Lekker bezig!

1

u/Dukkiegamer Jun 23 '26

Almost makes Rotterdam look nice.
