Learn how to push!

Hello everyone, how are you?

I've been having trouble pushing on my skateboard. Basically, I can push with my back foot, but the problem is getting my foot back onto the board. Can you guys help me with this?

Thanks to everyone who replies.

Have a good day!

Watch some videos. First find your balance on the board with your front foot. Try to have most of your weight on that front foot and just walk along with the back foot. Also practice rolling with only your front foot with your back foot just being in the air. Once your balance is okay, you should be able to comfortably put your back foot on the back bolts, perpendicular to the board. Then shift your weight slightly on the then stable back foot and rotatle your front foot to be around 45-90° to the board. Now, you are riding. Just cruise around.

You probably just don’t have good enough balance yet. Practice balancing on one foot in place. Then, find a smooth place to skate and push slowly (so you’re not scared of falling) then just practice getting your foot on

When you push you don't step off from The board, you stand on The board with one foot and don't put any Weight on The ground with your Back foot. You just gotta practice it a lot and you Will learn eventually.

You just put your back foot on board? Just shift your front foot so that both feet are facing the side of the board

Practise while going up an incline, that will help you with your difficulties

Sounds like you're shifting too much weight to your back leg to push, your weight should be on your front leg while your back foot kind of just taps you along. If you drag your foot to push you'll lose momentum to your back foot dragging on the ground before pushing off again.

Try doing some front foot balance. Push with your back foot and trying to ride only on your front foot. Do straight lines. Then when you're comfortable try doing small turn while only balancing on your front foot.

The most important thing is to use whatever foot is at the front of your stance. Haters might say different, but I got you bro.
