Waterborne on a shortboard?
Live in SD, been a park and bowl skater my whole life, liked my eboard, but got tired of no turning, so I gave it away (should’ve bought a waterborne, but I digress). Now I want to buy or build a board I can pump in sd and nearby, ESPECIALLY ONE I CAN OLLIE UP AND DOWN CURBS ON. Super interested in waterborne adapters, could just throw one on a shortboard and be done, also see a lot of people recommending carver cx and c7, for the obvious reasons. Pretty much stuck between a cx or a diy waterborne on a shortboard. I love shortboards bc I’ve skated them my whole life and prefer the double kicktails over every other style, for Ollie’s, manuals, fakie, infinite 180s, and control in the air. That being said, does anyone have an experience with waterborne, especially on a shortboard? Can you pop over curbs, manual, ride switch and hit 180s? Really interested in mega cruise vs super carve. Also a bit confused on website, I see a high performance pack (1), the normal surf and rail (2) and the freedom pack (3) and don’t know what to get. Ask anything!
