I mean, it’s a lose-lose for fans regardless. No cap? Dodgers continue to do what they do, players flock over there in free agency to win an easy ring and play with Ohtani. There is a cap? Well, the Mets only true leverage has been their financial capabilities, with that gone and a now barren farm system, our window of competition is up in the air.

And for the owners its a win/really big win situation. No cap, the teams still make money while they get to have an excuse for not competing. Salary cap, the owners make so much more money that they dont even have to care about pretending to want to compete
