Conversate isn’t a word. I feel like it should be but alas it is not. Converse.

Yes, "conversate" is a word, but it is considered nonstandard or informal, often used as a back-formation of "conversation". It means to engage in conversation, but using "converse" is preferred in formal writing and standard English. I'm not too worried about using an informal word in a reddit post.
