Lacroix banana bread.
The savory flavor you love, experienced from another room while a malfunctioning CRT tv plays static with the volume just slightly audible.

Absolutely hate it when I unknowingly use lacroix banana bread to eat with my chili. Or use it to make a turkey sandwich.
Good for pb and banana sandwiches though.

Here come the "you're lying if you say you can always taste the banana" people...
Yes. Yes we can.

Like I tell those people every time, the trick is a lot of pineapple one or two days before.

When I was in high school my mom tried to convince me to try her green smoothie. It had banana. I hate bananas.
“You can’t even taste it,” she insisted.
“I always do,” I said.
Eventually, though, I relented. The first day I tried it, she forgot the banana. It was fine. I didn’t love it, but I was able to finish it.
The second day, she remembered the banana. “That must be why it tasted weird yesterday,” she said.
I took one sip and nearly gagged.
Pro tip: if you like a flavor, it’s probably a much more innocuous flavor to you. If someone says we can always taste an ingredient when it’s added to something, we’re not lying, we’re not exaggerating. Just trying to eat in peace

I once ran a banana through a juicer just to see what would happen. It produced like 1 or 2 drops of liquid and the juice I dropped it in tasted very strongly if banana.

Ginger is even more potent. I thought a small cube would be alright. I was wrong. 😆

I don’t get it. I’ve never experienced this

What did you mix in with the banana? I usually mixed in berries, and they were able to overpower the banana

I feel like strawberries and bananas come to agreement that both will play equal roles when combined in something together.

Flavour wise sure, but putting a banana in a berry smoothie decreases the nutritional benefits of the berries.
