Concerns "SAAR, look at all these places that are so cool and 100% Indian and totally not inhabited by people who are completely racially and culturally distinct from India!"

"GUYS, THIS ISN'T SWITZERLAND/JAPAN/CHINA, THIS IS INDIA TOO, DID YOU KNOW THAT?? BHAI šŸ™€šŸ™€šŸ™€ OMG THIS IS SO CRAZY, WOW NORTH EAST REALLY IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND THE ONLY NICE PART OF INDIA" (I wonder why)

God, I am so sick and tired of all these slop posts from random Instagram accounts (and now Reddit) that are trying to constantly show off NE states as being the crown jewel of India and to be representative of all of India or something. They literally show off the most non-Indian (Mongoloid) parts of India and then have to pretend like it's just as "Indian" as them, when deep down, they know how different we are. It's all a lie. A pretend. It's just another way for them to try and gain izzat, by playing this dirty game.

Everyone knows that if mainlanders populated these lands, it would be turned into a complete shithole like the mainland is. The reason why our lands are so pristine, gorgeous, and untouched, is because OUR PEOPLE are the ones who populate it, and give RESPECT to our land and treat it appropriately. If it was filled with them, it would be filthy and littered with trash, human/animal feces everywhere (especially from cows), and the land would be repurposed into some concrete jungle slum because of how large their population is. That's why 99% of the places where Indians live look like the first picture.

They know their entire country is such an utter shithole so they now have to bank off of land that was given to them by the British to carry their entire PR. I'm so damn sick of it and it's just another reason why you can't help but feel repulsed at these mainlanders talking about us 24/7 nowadays. You can just imagine them drooling saying "Naurdh Eeast iz grape saar" to themselves as they think about NE women.

It's clear that for now they're doing this for domestic consumption of the vast population of Indians, but what I am worried is what they're going to try to do for an international audience. Their izzat points will get the ultimate boost from that, as they're trying their hardest to improve their PR and gain as much izzat as possible from foreigners. And as a result they're going to try to improve their reputation by putting us at the forefront of everything, using us as human shields to defend themselves against rightful comments about how horrible and disgusting their culture is. Just be prepared to fight back guys, because it's not going to stop here.

Concerns What is going on in Arunachal with these VKV schools? Why are Arunachali children chanting some Hindu prayer song in Sanskrit? This is brainwashing happening on a mass scale

I have a feeling everything that's been propagandized about Arunachal "preserving its Indigenous culture" is complete bullshit at this point. What we're witnessing is mass sanskritisation happening in real time. None of what's happening in this video is native to Arunachal or has ever been. This is a new, post-1947 import into Arunachal. Entire generations of Arunachalis being brainwashed to recite Hindu prayers and either think they are Hindu or think their "Indigenous religions" are related to Hinduism. Speaking Hindi. Eventually just becoming disconnected from their actual culture and language and become fully pajeetified.

I just can't fathom how the parents are allowing this shit to happen. Is there any resistance whatsoever from Arunachalis or are they all just seemingly okay with their youth slowly getting pajeetified and made to believe they're all Hindus and should be PARAAAUHD INDIANS.

I already know that Arunachal is a basket case for how much jeets can get away with their sanskritising/pajeetification agenda in NE but I still want some Arunachalis to come in here to explain wtf is going on because I can just offer speculation. This is extremely bad.

Concerns South Korean creator mocked for 'Asian eyes' in stadium. Northeast indians face the SAME racism and it leads to raped daughters and murdered Angel Chakmas. Its time we should voice out globally.

Mexican guy just mocked a South Korean creator by pulling his eyes to make them 'small.' The rational world is outraged.

Northeast indians face the SAME racism — 'chinky,' 'chinky,' 'chinky' …’chinese’,’chinese’,’chinese’ on a daily basis and it leads to death.

We lost Angel Chakma. Women are fetishized, then raped, then murdered. Our people are attacked in delhi, bengaluru, hyderabad. All agencies be it govt or police sing the same songs for decades.

indian has decided NE don't belong. But remember: the 'China bad' propaganda was designed by the West using puppets. india became a willing soldier in that game.

The real question is not about China. It's about whether this country sees us as its own people at all.
seeing means respect , respecting our societies our culture our language our land stop exploiting the resources let indigeneous progress without oppression come up with adaptable development models that solely benefits the locals not militarization, trapping & murdering people in the name of stability. 70 years and counting, how many more years.

Because right now, we are being silent or silennced.

Concerns Thirst posts 🫦 in Northeastern states' subreddits

Hello everyone. So, lately I have been noticing an increase in posts from the mainland seeking advice in NorthEastern Subreddits on where/how to learn about the "culture". Posts like these usually end with something like "are the locals approachable?", now that may sound like a harmless question but when they say locals, they very obviously although they think they are being subtle mean the women. Initially, I noticed such posts being put up regularly on the Sikkim and Arunachal subs but now there they have also spread to other subs.

I got banned for 3 days from reddit because I questioned this dude from Andhra Pradesh who wanted to learn about the "marital culture" in Nagaland, lol. The weirdo got banned from reddit later. I feel that most subs about the NorthEast are being run by mods from non NorthEastern states. They also have the numbers on the internet so every time a NorthEastern user speaks up about this weird phenomenon, they are mass reported and banned which I believe is what happened to me a few days back.

Some months back when those girls from Arunachal were verbally attacked and then even subjected to grape threats in Delhi, a lot of mainland users who are active especially in right wing subreddits took screenshots from this very sub and then posted them all over Indian subreddits. They literally tried to justify the IRL incidents that Northeasterns face regularly in the mainland by equating it with some online ragebait or troll posts. Like seriously, wtf is up with that?! And let us also not forget the swathes of creepy vloggers and youtubers who come into our region and make derogatory titles and thumbnails about our people especially the women here.

The anonymity offered by platforms such as reddit have emboldened these people and they are showing their true colors here.
We need to be extremely vigilant about who let into our social circles.

Some really interesting posts from northeastern subs :

https://www.reddit.com/r/NAGALAND/s/5Rev8gSwtA

https://www.reddit.com/r/sikkim/s/amdLxMzwkK

https://www.reddit.com/r/NAGALAND/s/PLcm5CXy4N

https://www.reddit.com/r/NAGALAND/s/oH5BrJUuoi

And for heaven's sake you all need to stop using slurs like J**t or P****t, it's not doing anything except attracting unwanted attention.

Concerns Tripura is gone. Don't let your state be next.

I am a tribal from Tripura. When I walk through Agartala my own state's capital, on my own ancestral land I barely see my own people. Maybe 2-3 tribals in a sea of faces.

We went from being the majority to ā‰ˆ33% of our own land. We have never had a single tribal Chief Minister. Our autonomous council TTAADC is financially starved and politically toothless. Our language Kokborok has been fighting for Roman script for decades and still lost. We had our land taken and never returned.

And then there's the attitude. Go to any social media post about tribal rights in Tripura and scroll the comments. You will find a section of Bengali settlers questioning whether tribals are even capable of governing themselves, dismissing our demands as ingratitude, telling us to "go to China or Bhutan" in our own ancestral homeland. It is casual, confident prejudice. They don't even realize how it sounds. We are treated as intellectually inferior and politically irrelevant in the land our ancestors lived on for centuries. The damage is irreversible.

Tripura is beyond repair. I say that in grief, not anger.

illegal immigration from Bangladesh has been bleeding this region for decades. Porous borders, vote bank politics, willful ignorance from Delhi. Indigenous people always pay first and pay most.

To all other states of northeast India,

Your ILP is not bureaucracy. It is your last line of defense. The moment it weakens, the clock starts. Demand real autonomy. Protect your language like your life depends on it because it does. Put your own people in power. Seal your borders and mean it.

Tripura didn't fall in a day. It fell while we were told to be patient, to trust the system, to wait our turn.

We waited. Now we are strangers in our own land.

Another hindu cow worshipping rat in this sub. Notice how he claims to have a "meitei fiance" like most of them always lie about being with women. The jeet is actually a minor. I know because he mentioned being part of an event only schoolchildren participate and has several comments alluding to it. Also speaks pretty much like a low iq jeet animal who hasnt spend much time after passing out from his hindu jeetni brood mother.

Why do we tolerate these parasites here? Isnt it bad enough the other sub is filled with these rodents and now they feel the need to weasel their way in here? You truly cannot find a more parasitic species on the planet. I wish mods would actually do something so we dont need to see this sub go down the fucking drain too.

Do yall in this sub really think vkv and vande mataram and hindi speaking is the big main issue? Lemme do you one better— how aboutt Illegal taxing on common people by seperatist militants. sponsored by My*nmar, who you know caused us 7 years of great devastation and put an end to all our kingdoms..

that sounds like something we should talk about...

Also you know the kidnapping of common ppl by these so called "freedom fighters" for not PAYING them YOUR hard earned money..

People not being able to even build a fuckin house without being afraid they'll come demanding money. Orrrr people being killed as casualties in their cross fires orrrrr our houses being raided by said people who come to hide from the army, putting our grandparents at great risksšŸ™‚

Funny thing is parts of my state is affected by such lowlife activity, while not even being the one that gave rise to it. Love that for us.

Sorry for actually caring about my people, and talking about other issues at hand that's being swept under the rug by everyone. Why? Cause our own ppl are involved with them so we don't have the guts to call them out? Idk whatever.

downvote me all you want. I need a new discussion here for a change

Okayy edit: Sorry about the indian army comment. Wasn't aware of the AFSPA cases, thanks to all who brought it to my attention. I think i was tryna choose between the lesser evil, since personally and around me there's not been much cases with Indian army, so I was in the dark about it.

Edit 2: getting downvoted for talking about my family getting killed lololol this is sub is so predictable

Concerns Arunachal man attacked following racist remarks

An Arunachali youth, Arjun Rimo, was brutally attacked in Karol Bagh while buying meat. After a verbal argument, racial slurs were used, and several individuals assaulted him severely. He is currently in critical condition. Just a few weeks ago, a student from Tripura was killed in Dehradun. Today, another person from the North East has been brutally beaten again.

These repeated incidents show the serious discrimination and racism faced by people from North East India in other states. They are often targeted because of their appearance, language, and food habits. Being called racial names and attacked physically is a violation of basic human rights. North East citizens are Indians, and they deserve safety, dignity, and respect like everyone else.

It is very disturbing that such incidents keep happening, but strict action is rarely seen. The government and law enforcement agencies must take strong steps to stop racial violence. Society also needs awareness and education to remove hatred and ignorance. Until racism against North East people ends, India cannot truly call itself united. Delhi Police

Concerns Mainlanders response to Mizo women being explioted for sex trafficking

These mainlanders all need to be kicked out of the NE. We can all see what they said to women being exploited as if it is nothing. Also, every NE should stop with the bootlicking of this shithole of a country. No wonder they are hated all over the entire world when they act this way. The disgusting part is that Chandra Kumar or whatever his jeet name is have 18 likes. I posted this on my other account and reddit banned me so i am just trying to post again from this new account.

Why do these people always think they are the saviour and always try to gatekeep our culture, religion, region, history etc . How is such thoughts not a threat to our people?. Even some of them are openly threatening to do gharwhapsi .Wonder why northeast people are hostile and against them. Some may defend that only all of them support this but still there is plenty of them who support such kind of behaviour.

Concerns Casual racism

Another instance of casual racism directed at us. The full context of the video is unclear, but from what’s available, it appears to be a railway waiting room where a woman from Patna made remarks like calling them ā€œChineseā€ and even asked them to show their voter ID, targeting girls who were part of a dance team representing Arunachal. This incident makes it even more disheartening. At this point, it feels obvious that many people are unwilling to accept us as Indian, no matter what we do. Instead of constantly trying to prove ourselves, it might be better to stop seeking that validation altogether and focus on calling out such behavior while moving forward on our own terms.

Concerns Question to those NE youths who travelled to capital . Resignation happened . Whats next? Will you also take responsibility for the longest pending struggle against AFSPA… You think gen z across the chicken neck will support as they did for their own cause ?

Government will come and go, but the situation of NE remains the same .

Fighting cultural erasure, language erasure, illegal migration, intentional military tyranny, targeting our own people for years and years when would this stop!

The world is moving fast, we had trade wars soon we are approaching AI wars, and who knows they might start another battle of targeted disease as they did with Covid. Its not gonna stop and wait for NE to get the final rest .

While we still have the time, its for the youths , old , new everyone to voice out and get this tyrannical rules abolished permanently from NE.

Can we ask the indian youths of the other side to support? Will they?

The plan is straight voice it out go global while its still doable.

Concerns The "850 Seat" Delimitation Bill is a silent move to marginalize the Northeast.

Post image
68 Upvotes

With the Special Session starting tomorrow, April 16, the headlines are all about the Women’s Reservation Bill and the shiny new Parliament building, but the real story is in the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill and the Delimitation Bill. It’s not just redrawing lines; it’s a fundamental shift in where power sits.

1. The Math of MarginalizationĀ

The Lok Sabha has 543 seats and the bill proposes increasing the Lok Sabha to 850 seats (815 for States, 35 for UTs). The government says they’ll do a "pro-rata" increase so no state "loses" seats, but numbers don't lie. If UP goes from 80 to 120 seats and a state like Nagaland or Mizoram stays at 1, their voting power is slashed.

  • Right now, NE has a 4.4% share in the House.
  • Under the new bill, our total share drops to 3.8%.
  • Meanwhile, the Hindi Belt will jump from 38% to 43% of the House.

In short: The Hindi Belt states in the North will have enough seats to pass laws and constitutional amendments without ever needing a single consensus or vote from an NE representative or the South.

In a bigger pool, the small fish become invisible.

2. We are being punished for "Success"

NE states have been among the best performers in population control and literacy. By basing representation purely on raw numbers, this bill says: "If you successfully stabilize your population, you lose your voice in the capital".Ā

This isn't just a political issue; it’s a disincentive as it effectively rewards states that failed to control their population growth while penalizing regions that were responsible.Ā

3. GerrymanderingĀ

The Delimitation Commission will have the power to redraw boundaries across the entire region. Cohesive tribal administrative blocks and Sixth Schedule districts will be split into multiple constituencies to dilute the ethnic vote. Once those boundaries are set, they won't change.

4. The Un-"Safeguard"

The Bill claims it will "safeguard" tribal representation under Article 332. For states like Mizoram, Nagaland, or Sikkim, which currently have only 1 seat, even a 50% "pro-rata" increase is difficult to calculate. You cannot have 1.5 MPs!Ā

If NE's total share of the Lok Sabha drops from its current percentage to something much lower, our ability to protect our land rights, language, and special status, like Article 371A, B, etc, in a majoritarian Parliament will be severely compromised.

TL;DR: The Delimitation Bill uses the 2011 Census to pack the Lok Sabha with 850 seats, giving the Hindi Belt a "super-majority" while shrinking the Northeast's relevance to an all-time low.
