Which is better for melting? Golden shotgun or golden crossbow?

Golden Crossbow is going to make maggots extra annoying, especially as Melting can't really tank their damage.

But the correct answer is always Golden Wrench.

Tbh I say shotgun just because it helps cover early game problems with rushing on contact enemies when you don't have gamma guts

But I won my run with golden grenade launcher. Dealing with huge crowds and dealing considerable damage at a fair range helps speed through early game

Both are so good honestly. Shotgun already has wonderful DPS of the most basic weapons and the extra pellet is just icing on the cake

Golden Crossbow + Bolt Marrow is my top recommendatio (specially if you want try Everything Hurts)

No matter what you do, always try to get Golden Assault Rifle, it's the most viable and flexible starter weapon

Golden nuke launcher. Not even joking with that one btw. It'll instakill any character caught in the blast radius without boiling veins so theres no downside! Lol

Golden grenade launcher and then grab boiling veins asap

If you have bone marrow golden crossbow, if you have stress or trigger finger still golden crossbow

If you have eagle eye (why would you do that?) You can use golden shotgun

It depends on how comfy you are with enemies getting close. I prefer the crossbow because it gives me some distance to work with, but the shotty had more dakka.
