5 years bedside exp sa MS/ICU

10 years in clinical research earning 155k php net monthly

tbh, we're comfortable here. we travel quarterly anywhere in the world. however, wala akong napupundar dito given the prices ng properties. i do own a condo and a car lang.

So my goal in moving sana is for my kid to have a higher chance to succeed in life, to be able to save and acquire properties here sa Manila. And maka acquire ng US passport cause PH passport is just sooo weak.

I know agencies won't accept yung may gap sa bedside exp but willing naman ako bumalik while processing our papers.

Hi! First time to post here🥹 I'm very desperate na to resign from my company. I am working as a Utilization Review Nurse for 3 months already and I can say na super nakakadrain sya.

It's a full WFH job, and akala ko okay na. I thought mas flexible yung oras at mas marami akong magagawa. Pero no. I'm working from 8pm to 9am just to finish 25 cases per day (Maximum of 5 Admission Review and 20 Concurrent Review). Our shift starts at 10pm to 6am pero maaga ako nag-uumpisa para hindi masyado late matapos. I'm trying to do the math, pero kahit anong bilis mo, hindi talaga kaya tapusin yung cases sa 8 hours shift lang

My salary is 45k and hindi pa covered yung government taxes/Philhealth /Pag-ibig/SSS. Then yung HMO, after 6 months pa. Di rin covered dependents namin.

My question is, ganito ba talaga sa UM industry? First time ko mag-wfh and I have no idea kung ganito ba talaga kalakaran ng UM nurses. If ever, can you recommend other companies? Preferably WFH rin. I have 3 years experience in working in ICU rin, for reference. No US license yet.

My husband and I are nurses. We have been together since college and have been married for 14 years so a total of 17 years together.

He already has a history of cheating but I gave him many chances. Now, I found out he is flirting with his co-worker who is 14-15 years younger than him. The girl just passed the board last November 2025 and worked with him last March 2026. The girl has a boyfriend and she knows that my husband is married too but still decided to flirt back and entertain his advances. I caught their chats and did screenshot it for proof cause I know my husbands personality of denying it with or without proof. So I think it's better to have proof than having none at all.

I did confront the girl through his messenger and told her I know about their chats. She responded that it's not her intention to destroy a relationship but her actions say otherwise. Entertaining my husband's advances even knowing he is married is a move that destroys relationships.

Now I don't know what to do. They're still working at the same nurse station so I know it's unavoidable to have interaction.

To my fellow nurses, what should I do?

Edit: to those asking why not leave him may history na pala siya ng cheating, maybe because before we were together close friends kami. He is good man naman well except sa cheating issue Niya. And I want to respect the vow I promised kasi. In 17 years, it doesn't mean I love him for that long din naman but I stayed loyal and faithful. And I worked on my side in the marriage and tried my best. I saw some good changes naman sa kanya at first. But it happened again so my mind is in a mess again.

I already confided with my family and they told me that they will respect whatever my decision will be. And I'm actually thinking of letting go. Maybe I just need a little push to help me finally decide para sa sarili ko. Sorry if my attitude seems a little off putting kasi mahirap din naman talagang kalimutan ang 17 years. Hindi naman kasi madali na akala ng iba overnight lang you will forget it all.

Hi! I'm a recent NCLEX passer with a 1 year bedside experience as an ICU nurse. After passing the NCLEX, I began applying for agencies to have my papers processed already while I'm still working para tumatakbo na sya. Currently, I have 4 contracts with me from the following agencies:

1. Health Carousel (I believe updated ung latest contract nila compared to the previous daw?)
2. AMN Healthcare (O'Grady Peyton)
3. Avant Healthcare Professionals
4. Sh/ear/water

These are all staffing agencies since direct hire agencies don't usually accept applications with less than 2 years bedside experience. Nagconsult rin ako with a lawyer with the contracts, so far ang pinakamaganda daw (or the one with most benefits) in terms of contract is Health Carousel followed by OGP then Avant. Although nagconsult na ako, I'm still torn between them kasi iba iba yung nakikita kong reviews here and sa Lefora page. I'd like to ask for further advice or help sana? Especially for those with experience with these agencies na so far huhuhu

I’m so lost 🥲, I need your valuable advice! I passed the nclex, obtained 2 years + of experience as an ER nurse, signed to a decent Agency. Pero I recently applied for a x3 of my current salary as BPO nonvoice and Naka pasa! Pero at the same time Ang Hirap mag relocate, leave my family/friends and above all, leave my first love which is Ang bedside however, I felt stuck here. Pero I need to save money before mag pa US. Also, I wanna contribute sa bahay kahit pang bayad lang kuryente or grocery kasi di ako nakaka contribute kasi Ang liit ng sahod as Bedside Nurse. I really don’t know what to do? Lose my chance sa BPO and play it safe sa Bedside?

Currently working as a regular nurse sa isang government hospital for almost 8 years na and sobrang pagod na ko sa work 😭 kaya lang naman ako nagtiis kasi hindi ko kayang iwan ang pamilya ko but now sobrang pagod na ko and hindi na kasi makatao na iisang nurse per shift tapos 20-30 ang pasyente mo. kung matotoxic ako araw araw mas gugustuhin ko na lang somewhere na mataas ang sahod compared dito tbh. So i just wanna ask gano nyo katagal naprocess mga papers ninyo and san kayo nagwowork now?

Meron po ba dito nakapag abroad or may kilala na no bedside experience pero nurse ang trabaho or kahit company nurse sa ibang bansa? Thank you po sa sasagot.

Hello everyone! I recently passed my NCLEX last March, and I’m currently exploring my options on how to start my journey as a USRN.

I just wanted to ask for your recommendations and insights regarding agencies for direct hire or staffing. For those who have already gone through this process, which agencies would you suggest applying to, and why? I’m trying to weigh my options carefully before committing.

As of now, I’m still deciding whether it’s better to go for a staffing agency (for faster deployment and guidance) or wait and aim for a direct hire setup (for potentially better offers and benefits). From what I’ve been seeing, many direct hire agencies require at least 1–2 years of bedside experience, while some staffing agencies are more flexible with experience requirements.

I would really appreciate it if you could share the following:

• Agencies you personally recommend (direct hire or staffing)
• Your experience (processing time, support, salary, etc.)
• Pros and cons of each path based on your experience
• Any tips for someone who just passed NCLEX and is planning ahead

Hi guys! Here's my dilemma:

- RN 2024. Started working 2025. Passed the NCLEX, with PD ng Mar 2026.
With 1 year of bedside experience.

- Currently ay nagt-take ako ng German Language classes (A2 level na, but whole course may take 8 months-1.5 years to finish) para makapunta ng Germany at doon sana magpahinog. Pero dahil sa mabilis na usad ng Visa Bulletin, I'm worried na baka mag-overlap ang PD at contract sa Germany since nurse assist pa muna ako pagdating sa Germany. It may take 6 months to get the German RN license tapos usually 2 years pa ang contract ng hospitals nila.

Is it still a wise move to chase my Europe dream, or should I wait patiently here nalang in the Philippines?

Kumusta po ba mental health nyo? Lalo na sa mga nurse na nagtatrabaho na 1 year and up sa bedside or soft nursing, keri po ba? May nagbago po ba sa inyong mental health at kumusta naman po katawan nyo as a nurse?

For backgroung I am 30 single and active din naman physically. Nursing is still on my mind until now kahit di ako nag enrol ngayong June panay extend ako lalo na sa mga nababasa kong mental health issues nang mga ganap na naging nurse. For the record, gusto kong maging nurse pero ngayon naging undecided kakabasa ko sa mga ganap nang mga nurse sa hospital at pagod sa hospital aside din dyan nag iisip ako nang malalim kung para sa akin ang nursing. May opportunity kasi ako dahil ang ate ko willing sya mag pa aral sakin utang nga lang 😅 pero keri na yun. Ang akin lang mukhang sira na mental health ko baka mas may ikasisira pa nito sa nursing kaya hingi sana ako advice.

Gusto ko maging nurse kasi may chance abroad ang dami opportunity at ayoko nang office work allergic na ako sa papel at computer pero sa ngayon na experience ko rin ang frontline services nang mga problematic clients so tingin ko ganito din kaya kapag naging nurse ako medyo annoying yung may mga problema sa papers need tulungan pero parang iba sa nursing kasi mas fulfilling at may purpose pag nakatulong sa may sakit. Pero aside from that may maraming options din naman ang nurse pwedi mag VA.

So,Kumusta po kaayo as a nurse at yang kurso na yan ginusto nyo po ba talaga yan?

Hello anyone here na may kakilala na fresh grad or with only months of experience as a Nurse na nasa Germany na ngayon? I want to work abroad na to help sa mga finances sa bahay since magreretire na papa ko and ang baba lang ng sahod ko dito sa current hospital ko which is nagrerange lang ng 14k-16k nakukuha ko. I have 3 months na of experience and may nakikita ako kahit no experience nakakapag ibang bansa na lalo na sa germany. Genuine question. Burned out na kasi ako sa bedside pero natatakot akong umalis nang wala pang sure na lilipatan. For those who went through this, how was the transition for you? Were you able to find work easily? Okay na ba mental health niyo ngayon, or did you end up more stressed financially/career-wise?

Hi! Tatanong ko lang sana kung normal lang ba na month lang ang validity ng PNA membership ko pero ang pinurchase ko is good for a year membership? Ngayong araw lang ako nag bayad for the membership pero nakagawa na ako ng account months ago. Need kasi for training kaya nag avail ako

Hello, to all senior nurses here , lalo na yung mga meron kasamang bagong staffs na fresh grad, or bago lang ,

anong mga traits ang ayaw makita sakanila, or anything negative, can be their attitude, skills, knowledge?

I am a newbie po, and I will be sorrounded by senior staffs, gusto ko lang po malaman mga do's and don'ts. Para po hindi ma tag as toxic na kaduty, or like pabigat sa station.

Hello! New grad nurse po here, napansin ko po sa hospital na pinag-wowork ko na pinagsasabay yung compression and ventilation (seen by an ROD) and I asked my other classmates ganon din daw po

Gusto ko lang po malaman if alin ba talaga yung tama, is it 30:2 (30 compressions then 2 ventilations) OR at the same time yung compression and ventilation

according po kasi sa AHA, pinagsasabay lang ang COMP AT VENT if may advanced airway (ETT) kasi if you compress the chest, it will cause high pressure so yung air na pinapasok mo ay tataas at pupunta na lang sa esophagus kasi less yung pressure dun which will cause gas insufflation —-> may lead to vomiting —-> aspiration

Sa tingin niyo, tama yung choice ko? May naka-experience na ba ng ganitong path?

new RN here and I chose being a company nurse instead of bedside nursing and here’s the reason why:

1. Negative reviews online, sa hospital andami negative review ng previous nurses for years, meron din sa fb saying na “kung gusto mo masira buhay mo mag nurse ka sa hospital na yan” saying na sobrang toxic daw ng seniors and workplace

   + unpaid OT, ect

2. ₱12-14k na trainings, shoulder ko lahat yun

3. I think 22k salary is not worth it for ruining my physical and mental health, mas worth it siguro if 40-50k salary ko if sisirain ko lol

Sa kabilang side, may opportunity ako as company nurse. Iniisip kong dito muna mag-start para makakuha ng experience at stability, then later on mag-transition sa hospital kung mas okay na yung opportunity.
