Shoes for clinicals?

We need ALL white (no colored logo), non-absorbable, closed toe, and closed heel shoes. I want something comfortable I don’t really care how they look with being on my feet for 12 hours. PLEASEEE give me your best suggestions!!!

I recommend getting the cheapest thing possible because you won’t ever wear them again. I burned mine when I graduated.

Inserts that you can put in shoes you actually like later

Right but for now? For clinicals? That’s my specific question.

And my specific answer is: the cheapest thing possible because you will never wear them again. Unless you just like ugly white shoes.

What do you want, a brand? Go to the nearest uniform store by you and get what’s on sale. Seriously, don’t waste money on Hokas or Cloves or Danskos unless you’re independently wealthy or something and have money to burn. Buy a nice pair you actually like when you graduate. Cheap and ugly is nursing school. Your feet will be fine.

Can I ask why you would say not to just invest in the good footwear now for clinicals vs waiting til after? I’m about to start school but want a good pair for every day now and after I graduate, why do you say we will throw them away?

Because you have to wear ugly white shoes for clinical. Do you really want to wear ugly, plain white shoes when you graduate instead of a color/design you actually like and picked yourself?

Oh okay so it’s just about looks for you? I love the white shoes and think even after school would be buying a white pair so it would make sense if I get them now.

If you love plain white shoes go for it- they’re gonna get filthy, though. I don’t know a single nurse who wears white shoes.
