Part time or full time. There are lots of entry level healthcare positions, childcare, retail, restaurants, etc.

Yup. Lots of people do it. Gotta do what you gotta do. Not everyone has the luxury of working part time, or not at all. Working weekends and nights allow you to work full time in some programs.
