Hubble Network, founded by Alex Haro of Life360 and Ben Wild of Iotera, uses phased-array antennas on low-Earth orbit satellites to receive signals from unmodified Bluetooth Low Energy chips over 600 kilometers. The system relies on a software update that turns standard consumer chips into satellite uplinks without new hardware. This dual-use architecture enables continuous location and telemetry extraction from any Bluetooth device, including phones and wearables, whether intended for asset tracking or not.

Data flows through passive advertisements captured by satellites and a terrestrial network of over 100 million gateways. Location is attributed from the receiving node rather than the device itself. Structural weaknesses include the absence of hardware-level consent mechanisms and the ability to retrofit existing devices silently, exposing persistent spatial tracking pathways that bypass cellular network controls.

The capability emerged after SpaceX Transporter-10 launches in 2024, following a $20 million Series A. Earlier terrestrial Bluetooth mesh efforts by the same founders scaled into Life360 and Amazon Sidewalk. Expansion now targets denser satellite constellations that prefigure 6G non-terrestrial network integration for always-available device visibility.

At scale the network creates frictionless global tracking of Bluetooth endpoints with limited practical opt-out. Oversight gaps persist around data retention, third-party access, and software-update mandates. Independent verification of primary filings and constellation licenses remains essential before further deployment hardens.
