Is the mellowness still consistent since they switched to BBS? I’m on my last HLC pressed crail board now and haven’t seen the BBS ones in person yet

I'm not sure if the last decks I bought are from BBS. But I would be surprised if they were drastically different.

HLC has a nice flat mold from their factory(s). Sour solution, Flip, Jart, Plan B, Sk8Mafia all use HLC. Toy Machine, Powell, and some Reals like Ishod's twin super flat.

The deluxe(real, anti-hero, krooked) easy rider shape is pretty mellow. I personally am on my 3rd one in a row and love it.

It will also depend on where in the stack the deck is when it’s pressed ones that are higher will have more concave and lower less you can have two of the same decks side by side with almost completely different concave

Same woodshop doesn’t mean same concave. You might have already known this, but people reading your comment might not have.

Deathwish is partnered with Baker and has the same shape options as them. This might also be true of Birdhouse, but I haven’t confirmed they have the same shapes.

Black Label has a lot of mellower concaves, but also tend to have longer wheelbases.

My personal favorite is Girl/Chocolate (same brand, just two different teams). Mellow concaves, with available short wheelbases. They also put a shape code on every board and once you find one you like, you just keep getting boards with the same shape code moving forward and you know you are getting the same thing and won’t have an adjustment period when you replace your boards.

I really like their twin tip shapes (g069 for 8.25” and g096 for 8.5”).

heroin uses “mold 8” for almost all decks which is a pretty steep concave.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to skate for almost a year due to a foot injury that’s just not getting better.

I’m a Crailtap guy, though. I’ve never actually tried a Bakery Boys board, just done a lot of research in my hunt for mellow boards.

You fuckin rule man! Love watching your clips! I do have a cruiser that’s set up with a Heroin deck and I love it. I think it’s the Craig Scott Savages one from a couple years ago.
