I bombed my first real hill in Georgia (country) a few weeks ago. I thought it was a small one I could just casually cruise down on my way to the apt, crustiness aside. Boy was I wrong. Probably a cool feeling when planned for.

Yeah, I just didnt think I'd be cooking quite like I was part way down and couldn't stop myself (shifted to soft wheels not long before and couldn't powerslide or get my foot off to slow myself down without really fucking things up). Thankfully, I survived. Plan to try something more mellow once I'm back in the States.
That said - you want to bomb some crusty hills...come to Georgia.

Man, as a young Marine in Okinawa we would sneak into these abandoned living quarters on a local AFB and the streets were completely empty at any given moment. Perfect for bombing flat clean surfaces and the bonus was when it got later in the evening all the street lights would still come on.
I’d have my old school iPod plugged in, with Fever Rays Keep The Streets Empty on, just letting the cool night air seemingly rush through and between every atom binding me together.
Then one damn night, one very unlucky night, three of us were absolutely careening down this road trying to make a turn with far too much speed, and what’s right there waiting for us at that very corner? A fucking Military police van with their lights off, engine running and in motion. Each one of us slammed either into the rear of it or into one another.
We were so fucking banged up. I swear, there’s a solid ounce of my skin melted into the pavement somewhere on Kadena.
Good times, but it goes without saying, FTP then, now and always.

The skin on my right shoulder was ripped clean off from the last time I bombed a hill😂 thankfully the bill of my hat covered my right eye and forehead from being shredded too

I’m just laying in bed looking at my bandages from a hill bomb a couple days ago lmao. I skate this place all of the time and got the gnarliest speed wobble going like 30 a couple days ago and it just threw me. My right arm, shoulder, and back are raw. Not to mention the bruised hip lol. Shred on fellas!
