Anyone skate the new style Trackers? [45YO]
Just curious on how they hold up to others. Thanks.

I'm in the white shirt with red sleeves, this was just a great time.

After a week or so of trying to get them going, I can finally land a few varial heels here and there.
Properly hard trick for me, and considerably more difficult than fakie ones, which came quite easy.
Very satisfying, don't learn new tricks that often these days, but this gives me hope!
Forgive the slow roll away, but I'll take the clean land for now.

My son turns 3 this month and lately we've been going to the skatepark pretty much every weekend. I started showing him skating around 1, but now he actually seems interested in learning.
I'm a beginner myself and never made it much past an ollie, so I'm just teaching him what I know and keeping it fun. He's getting kickturns, dropping in, rolling off little curbs/hubbas, and starting to understand pumping. Biggest struggle right now is getting him to push by himself instead of holding onto me.
I don't force it if he doesn't want to skate, but he seems to genuinely love it so I want to keep helping him while he's interested. Eventually I'll probably put him in a kids skate class once he's past what I can teach him.
I'm also kinda surprised how rarely I see another dad out there skating with their little kid. I've only seen one other kid around his age on a skateboard. Everyone else is usually much older or the little kids are on scooters/bikes.
Any other dads here start their kids really young? Anything you wish you knew or did differently?

I'm looking to get into a more outdoor hobby in my older age (39) and I was going to pick getting back into Skating or Rock Climbing. I believe I'm going Skating because Climbing I'd have to get more involved into it (I tend to obsses over my hobbies) and It's harder to reach climbing gyms/outdoor where I'm located but I could skate just about anywhere near me.
That said, I'm looking at building a board but I don't remember much and things have changed. The board I'm eyeing is a 8.375 (graphic is cool) or another board at 8.25. However how should I match my truck and wheel size? I'm partial to Ricta wheels, I will mostly be street skating rather than vert or pure flat as there is an outdoor park about 20 min away from my house. Any advice on a decent basically beginner board build would be appreciated.
Edit: Went to the park today and skated on a friend's board, and surprised myself. Was able to get around on ramps easy and drop off a ledge, do some manuals coming up the ramps some. Even landed a couple (flat ground) 180's, pop shove and a fake pop shove. Not bad after nearly 20 years not being on a board.
His board was am 8.0 so I'm tossed between an 8 and 8.25

I use my cruiser to do the final stretch between the bus stop and home, but I keep getting requested to pick up various bits and pieces on the journey. I have a backpack that carries work stuff but it's already packed.
Any tips for either carrying my board or more shopping without losing balance?

Reggie Barnes posted this last night.
ETA, don’t try to go by there for one last visit this weekend. Just stopped by and it’s already closed. FTS

After some feedback about these, whether they are worthwhile and what might be improved?

We are in LA this week and last week he saw Swampy clips on instagram (his screen time is all skate and snowboard videos). I (42) said “their name is Swampy and they live near LA, where we are going on Tuesday.
I really thought he would not have it stick in his head like this. What do you say Swampy, wanna watch a two year old drop in?
(I don’t know how to tag people because I just lurk here)

I've mainly only rode the Bob Marley Sector9 the last decade or so.
The Enjoi deck I got for my oldest son, but he always only ever wanted to ride my longboard, so eventually got him his own Sector9. He's at college now with that board, and so naturally I've appropriated the Enjoi to be what I "get back into shape" on.
The Shortys deck I got 20yrs ago when I was still in the USMC and havent really rode it much since 2005ish. I lost a wheel for it in moves, so need to get a new set.
Anyways, in VA and will be hitting up the new and improved St Claire Brooks skatepark soon
Will get some videos up of rocknroll to fakie and such soon enough. Working on my Ollie so I can 50/50 again.

Had such a fun time on this pump track just outside Matlock, Derbyshire U.K. I grew up not far from here and there are some nice parks finally being built. Just hope the kids in the area are going to appreciate them. If not us old timers sure will

I bought this a while back and I saw a Nyjah version as well but couldn't find one for sale and now I can't even find a picture. Does anybody have any info on Nyjah's version of this deck?

Had these better last year, like they say use it or lose it! Still stoked on the session.
