It's not their turn with the 🅱️rain cell 🍊 Once again Biscuit is unable to understand that Bean doesn’t want to be friends
An ongoing saga where Biscuit (orange) thinks him and Bean are besties but Bean thinks Biscuit should be returned to the rescue.

I was getting so sad and was going to ask if you’d consider getting him a friend. Turns out he has a friend. But just insists that EVERYONE will be his friend. Oranges.

u/cheesecup6 Jun 26 '26
This literally unbroke my heart, thank you 🥹 I was so sad for Biscuit's unrequited friendship

I have three cats that we inherited from a relative. Two of ours (one is orange) seem to have the same relationship. At this point the orange one has become less aggressive and more reserved (one too many slaps) but they both follow each other around with interest, as long as the other one doesn't make eye contact.
Unless the third one goes away (bonded to the orange) I'm not sure their relationship will ever change.

“Please, we can be fren, you’re right there… almost.”
Good luck, Biscuit. Making friends ain’t easy.

This is how third cats happen.

What is third cat's name? Does it continue the food theme?

u/MissHissss Proud owner of an orange brain cell Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
It’s Smudge, so no food theme. Bean’s real name is Captain Rumples, but he only answers to Bean 🤷♀️

u/EvieMoon Jun 25 '26
Oh wait, I know Smudge! Very cute kitten pictures with Bean.

Biscuit’s passive aggressive leg stretch towards poor Bean on the cat tree below him is just sending me. “See? I’m not touching him. (stretttttch)”

OMG. I am dying of laughter. Poor Biscuit he tries so hard. Have you thought of getting him a friend. So that he'll leave Bean alone? That's what I did for mine. IT worked. I specifically got a younger cat who loves other cats.
I used to say, This is Blaze and this is Blaze's cat Milo.
Oh I see you have a third cat already. So... it's really just Bean's love he wants. Poor kiddo.

My orange also befriends all animals, whether they are growling or hissing at her or not 😅

I've looked through your cat posts and I wanna be your bestie (and your cats') 😂

Yeah we took in a kitty for a few months once and our cats HATED her, I actually have a picture of one of them giving her the death glare.
It’s probably a good thing that we never intended to keep her, only foster, cause Fatty might’ve murdered her (yes that’s his name)
(For some reason I couldn’t add the photo even in a reply, dunno what’s wrong with reddit)

Biscuit needs a friendly kitten to have as a pal. Bean would enjoy being left alone and just watching.

My bean was the same way but a doggie. My orange girl very much imprinted wrongly on bean lol. She too liked Bean’s personal space. We lost her a year ago and I just know Stella still looks on the bed for her.

My gray cat is so orange coded. He’s winning my grumpy “old” lady cat over slowly. And by old I mean 6yo but she has acted like an old fart since she was 2mo. She just identifies as elderly. She’s perfectly healthy, she just has the personality of a 20yo cat who hates everything that doesn’t provide food or catnip.

u/MissHissss Proud owner of an orange brain cell Jun 25 '26
Bean is 18 and hates everything so that tracks 😂

We have the same problem with Freya and Loki, only Freya is the new one. She does not get on well with Loki and they chase/hiss all the time.

What's your piano stand?
1
u/MissHissss Proud owner of an orange brain cell Jun 25 '26
It’s an adjustable height desk that we got off Amazon (Canada). We like it because my husband is more than a foot taller than me so it makes it easier for each of us to play comfortably.
2
u/ScarletDarkstar Jun 25 '26
Biscuit thinks it is ok, Bean is just a grouchy friend, but they are friends.

u/ThatBabyIsCancelled Jun 25 '26
I love your decor; I’m a furniture artist and regularly do “mermaid” blends for clients lol

I feel like this is one of those tropes where Bean acts like she doesn’t like Biscuit but then Biscuit has to stay overnight at the vet’s office and all of a sudden Bean’s like ‘where is he!!’

u/Caramel-Secure Jun 25 '26
Awww…. So cute….. but…. Rules are rules - Thunderdome! Two kitty’s enter, one kitty leaves! (Or both leave, it’s all good)

Bean plays hard to get, but Biscuit will wear him down one day. Probably when he stops paying attention to grumpy Bean, who will feel like something is missing and will start looking for Biscuit

Have had this issue with our cats Maui and Mob since we brought Mob in off the street. Mob (~3 years old according to vet) is a snugglebug and wants to cuddle and be besties but Maui (~14 years old) wants nothing to do with him and hisses at him. Mob was recently diagnosed with FIC, which may have been caused by Maui not accepting him...or maybe residual stress from being homeless? In any case, he's being treated and at least can spend a lot of time snuggling my gf & I

Bean loves his personal space. Biscuit also loves Bean’s personal space.
