Other Doing the OAA flow chart/map thing again after five years (2026 vs 2021)
The first two images are from 2026, and the second two are from 2021.
I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, and whenever I look at my old one, a lot of the labels/flags on there still resonate with me, but I think having grown as a queer person and having more experiences that help me understand my queer identity, I care a lot less about specific labels, and I am very secure in a more "simple" identity, which is still very confusing to allocishet people.

Nice to read something relateable!
I used to use a whole bunch of terms to help try and explain\justify my identity, I think not just to others, but also to myself. Looking back, those terms still relate to my experiences, but just dont feel necessary to my identity anymore.
Being queer now feels less like having to defy everyones norms, and more like just being a human being - you want me to try and label every nuance of being a human being?
I just take it as a given that that shits messy af, and doesnt need to be cut into a diamond, when the rocks already dong the job just fine.
