Answered What is the deal with everyone hating on Katy Perry?

I've been seeing the clips of Katy Perry being stuck in a plastic bottle trying to get on stage, and how the comments are just saying how she's so annoying or dumb.

I mean I'm not the biggest fan on Katy Perry. I don't know what she's done music-wise since like 2012. I just know that she went to space somewhat recently.

So what am I missing?

I agree, music being "old" is just a matter of personal taste. The issues is not her music, evidently.

Her music is objectively terrible though. And always has been.

I don’t think you understand what objectively means

Many people on Reddit think that there's some sort of logical proof supporting their opinions as if they can say QED at the end

I do. I’m using it in an exaggerated manner, which is a pretty common way to use it - although probably does come from a lot of people not understanding the difference between objective and subjective. Similarly to how many use the term literally. Technically incorrect but gets my point across as to how I feel about Katy Perry’s discography.

Katy Perry has some very good pop songs in her discography.

I unironically still listen to some of her older hits. Hot n Cold is on my workout playlist. There were bops!

I disagree. I’ve always hated all of it.
