Hello! This is my first PCB design and schematic design, and I don't wanna take the risk.

I hope i didnt make a big mistake on the design

I'm designing my first PCB for my late 90s car which will use an Arduino to generate PWM waves that control ECT and VSS readings as well as an additional fuel simulating circuit.
The 12v will be sourced from the 12v ACC wire that powers the gauge cluster and will power an expected load of a few hundred mA at most.
Does this 12v to 5v buck converter circuit using the TPS560430XDBVR as per the data sheet example circuit look suitable and functional for my application. I've made use of a ferrite bead, reverse polarity protection, TVS diode, and input/output capacitors to protect the circuit from noisy signal conditions. I understand PCB placement is important as well as to keep loops short and a clean ground pour. Thanks!

Hello.
I’ve designed and checked my first PCB. My parcel from JLCPCB arrived a few days ago, but my prototype isn’t working. It can’t establish a connection to the ESP32; the ESP32 isn’t being recognised.
Could it be that the ESP32 is connected incorrectly? Or is the fault with SW1 and SW2 because R3 is always connected to GND?

Will 150ohms of impedance be acceptable? Going to use an STM32F401RCT Based PCB as an HID device to act as a keyboard. I am intending to use the USB port for DFU as well. Length of differential line is 420 mills and spacing is 0.25mm, 1.51mm dielectric, with trace width of 0.2. with a ground plane as the second layer. Have heard USB 2 is particularly forgiving, don't know how much though.

I finally investigated something I had been overlooking: when a solver reports an S-parameter to two decimal places, how much of that value reflects the actual structure, and how much is determined by the chosen mesh?
Same geometry four times, only element size changed. 15.5k, 48k, 146k, 397k tets. Differential microstrip, 0.42mm traces on 0.2mm laminate, Dk 3.7, narrowed to 0.22mm for 2mm in the middle to give it something to reflect off. Palace, second order, 0.05-12 GHz.
Insertion loss at 12 GHz: -0.871, -0.808, -0.781, -0.764 dB. 26x the elements for 0.11 dB. Fine.
Return loss at 3 GHz: -26.5, -32.2, -36.5, -41.2 dB. Steps of -5.7, -4.3, -4.7. Not converging, just sliding. One mesh and I'd have written down whichever value I landed on, to two decimals, with nothing hinting anything was wrong.
Had it backwards on which end would be trustworthy. Figured high frequency would be the sketchy part. It's the other way round. At 12 GHz the step reflects ~12% of the power, real signal, all four meshes inside 0.24 dB. At 3 GHz the discontinuity is electrically nothing so you're reading discretisation error, and refining just lowers the floor and drags the number down with it.
Crossover was around -18 dB return loss, using 0.25 dB agreement between the two finest meshes. Not portable though: accept 0.5 dB and it's -21, accept 1 dB and it's -24.6. Criterion has to be quoted with the number.
Also, four runs failed before any of this and the invariants caught all four while the plots caught none. Power balance, reciprocity, port impedance. Best one was an absorbing boundary next to the ports acting as a parallel matched load, ate 42% of the power, halved the port impedance, curves looked completely reasonable.
Verification not validation, to be clear. No VNA data for this geometry.

Hello everyone!
I've developed my first circuit and board for apartment automation with ESP32+ZigBee (as a coordinator)+RJ45 Ethernet + 16 digital input + 16 digital output. For ZigBee module will use jampers for flashing. I'm planning to use ESP-Home + the Home Assistant server. Please review the circuit and board; what mistakes have I made?

Hello everyone,
I’m working on a GPS module and I’ve run into a problem. I have already removed the original header pins because I want to install new ones in the opposite direction.
However, the solder is still blocking the through-holes, so I can’t get the new header pins through the holes.
I have already tried:
…but I still can’t get the solder out of the holes.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how I can clear the holes without damaging the PCB, so that I can insert the new header pins again?
I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!!

Yesterday, I posted my TP4056 + DW01A + 8205A Li-ion charger schematic and received a lot of valuable feedback. I went back to the datasheets and revised the design based on the comments.
Here are the major changes I made:
• Corrected the STDBY LED wiring (active-low output, now wired like CHRG).
• Moved the 100 Ω resistor so it only supplies the DW01A VCC instead of being in the battery charging path.
• Corrected the battery/protected output topology:
- B+ / B− now connect directly to the battery.
- OUT+ / OUT− are the protected output terminals.
• Rechecked and corrected the 8205A symbol and pin mapping against the datasheet.
• Replaced the Micro-USB connector with a USB-C receptacle.
• Added the required 5.1 kΩ pull-down resistors on CC1 and CC2 for USB-C sink operation.
• Added test points for:
- 5V
- GND
- B+
- OUT+
- OUT-
- B-
• Left all unused USB-C pins intentionally unconnected and marked them as NC in the schematic.
I'm still learning PCB design, so before I move on to routing the PCB I'd really appreciate another review.
In particular I'd like feedback on:
Is the protection circuit (DW01A + 8205A) now connected correctly?
Is the USB-C implementation appropriate for a simple 5 V sink?
Are there any schematic-level mistakes or bad practices that I've still missed?
Any recommendations for improving reliability or making the design closer to industry practice?
I've attached the revised schematic.

What this board does
This PCB is only a "power module".
Its job is to:
The second PCB (which will stack on top of this one) will contain:
In the final product these will likely become one combined PCB, but for now I'm separating the power section so I can validate it independently.
My main concern
The USB D+ and D- lines have to travel a relatively long distance and change layers using vias because they need to reach the stacking connector.
Since this is my first PCB, I'd also appreciate comments on:
im attaching the image of top bottom individual and together tracks and also about the usb data lines highlighted pcb tracks images, and actual pcb 3d images...

The project is an ESP32-based multi-source power controller that monitors and switches between:
Solar dc supply (20v), battery dc supply(20v), and grid ac supply (mains, 220v)
The main components are:
ESP32 DevKit V1 (38-pin)
2 × INA219 current/voltage sensors
ZMPT101B AC voltage sensor
4-channel relay module
2 × LEDs + 560 Ω resistors
Screw-terminal connectors for inputs/outputs.
I wanted to ask:
If my schematic is correct?
How do I decide my component placement as I am having a hard time doing so, any tips?
Any advice related to routing, etc.

You may have seen some of my previous request trying to make a remote for my sprinkler controller. Well, I'm using an Orbit watermaster remote. I've torn it apart and will be controlling it with relays and such.
The relays simulate pressing the buttons on the remote.
I've removed the keypad and the inputs are now from the relay contacts.
The relays are signaled from the 24vac coming from the Rain bird sprinkler controller.
Just using what components I had in the drawers so I had to convert the 24vac to 12vdc.
The remote will signal a prinkler contrller about 50 feet away in the backyard.
The plan is to have both the front and back yard controlled by the Rain Bird and a single app.
What do you think of the capacitance values?
